Since 2000,the issue of genetically modified(GM)has gradually turned into a global public issue which attracted wide attention.With the rapid development of transgenic technology and application,the debate on transgenic technology has never stopped,and the "uncertainty" of science has been highlighted.Compared with the knowledge construction of other public issues,knowledge construction of GM issues has its particularity.On the one hand,due to the risks and "uncertainties" caused by scientific issues,all stakeholders in the media field may convey information other than the effective information,resulting in cognitive confusion.On the other hand,due to the limitation of knowledge structure and personal experience,it is difficult for the public to have a comprehensive and in-depth understanding of a certain scientific knowledge.Therefore,the public's scientific cognition and understanding of GM issues are often more susceptible to the influence of the media field,and the media plays an important role in the knowledge construction of GM issues.Therefore,through a comprehensive and in-depth investigation of the "uncertainty" in the scientific controversy of GM,this study helps all social public to better understand the connotation of scientific knowledge and participate in scientific decision-making,so as to alleviate the increasingly contradictory scientific controversy.Through the knowledge representation of genetically modified issues,the media can better play its social functions,provide a space for knowledge dialogue and a platform for the communication of scientific "uncertainty",and to some extent resolve and avoid the scientific risks caused by genetically modified issues,so as to alleviate the public crisis.At the same time,the process of knowledge construction of transgenic issues reflects the change of knowledge representation,practice rules and consultation mechanism of scientific issues.This study comprehensively discusses the relationship between media and scientific knowledge construction,which builds an interpretative framework for media to construct scientific knowledge and guide scientific rationality,reflects the realistic concerns and theoretical concerns in the field of scientific communication,and endows the research field with a certain degree of innovation.Based on the perspective of knowledge sociology,this study around the core topic of "uncertainty" of science,genetically modified(GM)issues "not sure" context and its elements,content of "uncertainty",meaning "uncertainty" communication research,logic "uncertainty" management research,explore the knowledge construction process of genetically modified(GM)issues-genetically modified(GM)issues of knowledge representation,knowledge,practice and knowledge sharing,knowledge argument.The research is divided into four parts: first,the "uncertainty" context investigation of GM issue.What are the elements of the uncertain context? What are the contextual features? Secondly,the discourse change and knowledge practice research of GM issue.Based on the context of "uncertainty" and from a diachronic perspective,media reports on GM issues in Chinese and American media were selected to sort out and summarize the research text,so as to explore the media "attention cycle" and spatial interaction characteristics of GM issues in different social contexts.From the perspective of synchronicity,this paper examines the media framework and knowledge practice process of GM issue from four aspects,including topic content,information source,discourse position and knowledge attribute.Thirdly,the knowledge controversy research on the issue of transgenic.Based on the research logic of reflecting on conflicts,resolving conflicts and transcending conflicts,this paper discusses how different stakeholders carry out knowledge consultation and dialogue around the "uncertainty" of scientific disputes.What role do the media play? What rhetorical strategies are used? How to reach knowledge dialogue and consensus between science and society? Fourth,knowledge sharing and "uncertainty" management of GM issues.How to reflect on the production and dissemination of transgenic scientific knowledge in risk society? How to improve the public's understanding of GM science? What are the implications for us to reflect on the ideas and models of the dissemination of scientific knowledge? The research attempts to explore the above research questions,investigate the discourse practice of GM issue,and think about the interaction and influence between science and society based on a more macroscopic social context.This study takes the controversial scientific issue of transgene as the research object and selects media reports from 2000 to 2018 for discourse analysis,comparative analysis and case study.The discourse construction of transgenic issues reflects the process of knowledge construction of scientific issues.Genetically modified(GM)issues of knowledge practice final purpose is to make society each related interest subjects to better understand the scientific knowledge,and in scientific discourse of the interactive consultation will integrate the professional knowledge of science,the formation of day-to-day work,already was accepted by the society "public intellectual",which involved in the reproduction of scientific knowledge and management in the process of "uncertainty".In an increasingly diverse society,therefore,disputes and conflicts between different cultures,values of release and debugging needs scientific dialogue and understanding,perfect and the promotion of the scientific literacy of the public to enhance understanding,scientific knowledge structures,based on the scientific issues of "knowledge alliance" genetically modified(GM)can be realized the controversial issues the spread of knowledge sharing and understanding of science,explore and promote the formation of diverse social discussion and scientific way of dialogue,to eliminate the differences between knowledge and unequal,manage controversial scientific uncertainty in the process of knowledge construction,and thus help scientific decision-making and perfect.
