Wayfinding as part of daily activities,the importance of human production and life is self-evident.In the past three decades,the conceptualization of wayfinder has become the core issue of navigation and location-based service(LBS)technology researches.Lots of researches have revealed that combination of navigation routing technology and spatial cognitive researches,whitch make the spatial cognition in the wayfinder auxiliary system application,has become an important research direction.Landmark,as both the carrier of location-based information and the cognitive concept,makes great effect of appeasing the feelings and ensuring the correctness of wayfinder decision-making.The use of landmark-based wayfing has become one of the hotspots in recent years.Both of indoor-space and outdoor-space,people have used to make use of landmarks to exchange the route knowledge to anthor,usually in the form of sketch,oral presentation,etc.,in the contrast of,eighter the car navigation system or mobile location services such as traditional spatial information does rarely.In the interaction with people's machines,such systems lack the ability to express people's awareness of landmarks,or by reference to landmarks to generate spatial cognitive information.This is mainly because of the current mainstream navigation and location service system spatial environment of the internal representation is not based on the landmark organization,but the landmark attached to the internal attribute data to describe,and then need to add,modify or select the landmark.The main reason for this significant difference is that landmarks have always been the notion of spatial cognition,not the concept of information systems.The challenge of this paper is to bridge the gap between the two.The main contents of the study are to design the landmark cognitive intensity grid in the interior and exterior space by deeply analyzing and systematically studying the landmark model for the indoor and outdoor paths.Based on this,a prototype example of guide description and path analysis method is given.The main contents of this paper include the following aspects:(1)propose an improved formal model of navigation landmarks.In order to allow the computer to effectively identify and deal with the geographical elements of the landmark type,it is necessary to formalize the landmark entity.The traditional landmark method is mainly for the outdoor landmark,the characteristics of indoor landmarks and formal models are rarely discussed in the current majority of indoor navigation applications,but the use of pre-defined landmarks as a line reference object,not based on wayfinder wayfinder Based on the spatial explicit dynamic selection of Raubal and Winter[13],the context context is based on the spatial context of dynamic selection.How to study the characteristics of cognitive landmarks from outside to indoors,and then design the indoor and outdoor Uniformly significant evaluation scale.(2)A landmark-based cognitive strength grid(CSG)model has been proposed.In order to apply the landmark entity after the formalization of the cognitive concept to the contextual context,two types of landmark cognitive intensity grid models are proposed.One is the Voronoi cognitive intensity grid for the outdoor routing process.Outdoor space for Voronoi subdivision,outdoor landmark as the weighted Voronoi diagram of the center point(significant as the weight),and the design of the hierarchical structure;the second is for the indoor wayfinder Grid cognitive strength grid,the indoor space Regularized grid division,indoor landmarks perform diffusion operations on Grid networks based on significantness until an obstacle is encountered or a predetermined threshold is reached.The landmark-based cognitive strength grid makes it possible to find andmarks as a route reference object at each location along the route to meet the wayfinder's cognitive requirements.(3)The experiments of two different scenes in the outdoor and indoor are designed respectively.The experimental model of the cognitive intensity grid model is validated,and the indoor and outdoor route based on the landmark cognitive intensity grid model is designed respectively.The method focuses on the guide description after the wayfinder,and the indoor route approach focuses on the route selection process.Through the analysis and discussion of the experimental results,it is proved that the effectiveness of the proposed method is different in the different scenarios.
