In the report of the 19 th CPC National Congress,General Secretary Xi Jinping stressed that Chinese Communists should remain true to our original aspiration and keep our mission firmly in mind.Remaining true to our original aspiration begins with the "original aspiration",which embodies people’s subjective consciousness,that is,starting from one’s own role positioning and recognizing who "I" am;and keeping our mission firmly in mind ends up with the "mission",answering the questions as for whom the subject "I" should do for and what to do.Therefore,the original aspiration and the mission are also manifestations of human values.For the teachers of the ideological and political theory course in universities,they are the disseminators of Marxist theory,the educators of socialist mainstream ideology,the educators of the cultivation of university students’ values,and the cultivators of university students’ growth."Letting those who have beliefs talk about faith" is the expectation and demand for the values of the ideological and political theory course teachers of the Party,the state and the society.Because the values thereof are related to whether the educatees can identify with the values of Marxist theory,whether the ideological and political theory course can complete the educational task of socialist ideology and whether university students can master the theories and methods forming values and establish lofty ideals and beliefs.The values of the ideological and political theory course teachers in universities are embedded in the ideological system of teachers,implicit in their words and deeds,and manifested in the value realization of the ideological and political education.It is the value guidance in implementing the morality education.Theoretically speaking,therefore,it is of great significance to determine the value orientation thereof of the ideological and political theory course teachers in universities in the new era as well as to explore the generating elementsand logic of the values of the ideological and political theory course teachers in universities and to find the evaluation criteria thereof.Hence,from the perspective of ontology,this thesis rationally analyzes the problems in terms of "what should they be","where do they originate","how do they generate","how can they be appraised" and "what are they worth" on the values of the ideological and political theory course teachers in universities.The whole thesis is divided into seven chapters,specifically as follows:The first chapter is the introduction.This chapter makes an overall grasp of the research on the values of the ideological and political theory course teachers in universities.The dynamic environment is grasped and the research value is pinpointed from the research background;the current research scope and structure are generalized from the comparison,generalization and summarization of the current research statue quo both at home and abroad;and the logic and method basis are also expounded respectively from the perspectives of research ideas and research methods to ensure the thesis is carefully-conceived and well-founded.The second chapter gives a theoretical overview of the values of the ideological and political theory course teachers in universities.Through the exploration of the meaning of value and values,this chapter combs and clarifies the meaning,function and particularity of the values of the ideological and political theory course teachers in universities from generality to individuality to provide the core category for the follow-up research.This chapter,based on the basic positions,viewpoints and methods of Marxism,interprets the theoretical basis of the values of the ideological and political theory course teachers in universities to define the feasibility of the research theme and research ideas.Based on this,this chapter further analyzes the significance of the generation of the values of the ideological and political theory course teachers in universities.The third chapter analyzes the basic structure of the values of the ideological and political theory course teachers in universities.This chapter outlines the internal mechanism and answers the question of "what should they be" on the values of the ideological and political theory course teachers in universities from the threedimensions of core content,constituent elements and internal characteristics in order to achieve the research effect of "understanding how and why".The fourth chapter expounds the generating elements of the values of the ideological and political theory course teachers in universities.This chapter analyzes the question concerning "where do they originate" on the values of the ideological and political theory course teachers in universities from three aspects regarding subject basis,professional demands and social conditions.The generating elements of the values of the ideological and political theory course teachers in universities must be inseparable from the subject basis and professional demands.As a kind of social consciousness,the social conditions of its generation should also be taken into consideration at the same time.Only the values rooted in national development and social progress can reflect the style of the times.The fifth chapter studies the generating logic of the values of the ideological and political theory course teachers in universities.This chapter demonstrates the question of "how do they generate" on the values of the ideological and political theory course teachers in and universities from the psychological mechanism,practice dimension and value commitment thereof.This part employs multi-disciplinary theoretical knowledge to show the subjective and objective as well as internal and external interaction process of the generation of the values of the ideological and political theory course teachers in universities,thus presenting the logical way of the generation thereof.The sixth chapter demonstrates the evaluation criteria of the values of the ideological and political theory course teachers in universities.To evaluate the values thereof,it is necessary to follow the individual standard of "self-consciousness" as the core;the teaching standard of "eight unifications" as the guidance;the role standard of "professional responsibility" as the basis and the social standard of "four services" as the yardstick,so as to complete the theoretical exploration of the question with regard to "how can they be appraised" on the values of the ideological and political theory course teachers in and universities.The seventh chapter introduces the era value of the values of the ideological andpolitical theory course teachers in universities.This chapter analyzes the question as for "what are they worth" on the values of the ideological and political theory course teachers in and universities from the three aspects concerning national position,curriculum orientation and role positioning,that is,the era value thereof.The generation of the values of the ideological and political theory course teachers in universities is the basic requirement to promote the development of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era,the inevitable choice to play the key role of the ideological and political theory course in universities,and the core support to implement the responsibility of the ideological and political theory course teachers in universities.
