Research On Career Planning Of Engineering College Students From The Perspective Of Social Networks

College Students’ career planning is an important link in the training of talents in Colleges and universities to meet the needs of economic and social development,and it is also an important way for college students to realize their personal value and social value.It is an important educational practice to educate and guide college students to plan and design their career consciously and scientifically.The low matching degree between the talent training of higher education and the social and economic development is an important problem in the popularization stage of higher education in China.One of the reasons for the imbalance between supply and demand between college talent supply and social demand for talents is,that lack of pertinence and effectiveness career planning education in the high school,and lack of initiative,conformity and blindness in planning career.Occupation career planning of college student has influenced by multiple factors,the specific social network is the base of multi factor formation for the students’ career planning.Research on college students’ career planning problem based on social network perspective has important theoretical and practical value.As a special group of college students,the characteristics and laws of engineering students’ career planning are typical because of the complexity of the engineering technology and the particularity of the engineering profession.To study the relationship between the internal logic of social network and engineering college student career planning,the behavior of university students’ career planning can be revealed by one side,helping colleges and universities to choose effective career planning education solutions,and providing theoretical and practical basis for college students to promote scientific career planning.This paper focuses on the relationship between the training of higher education talents and the demand of talents in economic and social development.Taking the career planning of engineering college students as the research object,using the social network theory and analysis method,on the basis of empirical research,the full text carries out research following four aspects: First,the academic literature of domestic and foreign college students career planning research has been systematically sorted out,explains the achievements of the existing research and the inspiration for this research,puts forward a new academic perspective on the career planning of engineering college students from the perspective of social network.Second,the paper explains and defines the core concepts involved in the research of career,careerplanning,and career planning and social network.At the same time,this paper constructs a theoretical analysis framework,and designs a social empirical investigation program.A questionnaire survey was conducted among 1650 engineering students from five engineering universities in Shanghai.Third,on the basis of empirical research data,by using social network analysis framework,the paper systematically explains the characteristics and regularity of career planning for engineering college student,researches the influencing from social factors for the occupation career planning of engineering students,discusses the inner logic of the social network support and career planning of engineering college student.Fourth,by using the correlation analysis,variance analysis and structural equation,the paper reveals the mechanism of social network support on the career planning of college students under the background of specific social network.The thesis draws the following conclusions:(1)The problem in career planning of engineering college students reflects the contradiction between personal career ideal and social occupation demand,and also reflects the controversy between the individual standard and the social standard in talent training goal of higher education.The opposing thinking mode of the individual standard and social standard is an important prerequisite for solving the contradiction between the professional ideal and the social demand.(2)The career planning of engineering college students is influenced by the specific social network relationship,and there is a significant correlation between the social network and the career planning of engineering college students.(3)There are significant differences in the individual career planning behavior due to the different social network support.(4)The social network determines the degree of social resource acquisition on information,material and emotion for engineering students’ career planning,the degree of social resource support will determines the career choice,career orientation and career channel design of engineering college students in.(5)On the basis of deeply grasping the individual factors and social factors that affect the career planning of engineering college students,it is necessary to integrate the career planning education for engineering college students into the higher engineering education system and select the effective educational practice program to enhance the consciousness and scientificity of the career planning for engineering college students.
