The Family Ethical Thought Of Marx And Engels And Its Contemporary Value

Contemporary China is now in a transitional period of comprehensively deepening reform.In this period,unexpected and variable social contradictions have resulted in serious problems,such as the dramatic changes in family structure,its changing pattern and relationship,complex and variable family conflicts,the lack of family ethics and family moral landslide.All these problems have seriously affected the social harmony.Therefore,the systematic in-depth study of Marx and Engels’ family ethical thought provides a theoretical basis and action guide for the new family moral construction of contemporary China.In additon,such study also contributes to the comprehensive implementation of the the spirit of the Report to the Eighteenth National Congress of the Communist Party of China on Strenghting the construction of family virtues,promotes the construction of civilized and harmonious family,and lays a solid social foundation for achieving the Chinese dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.At the same time,it plays an important role in promoting the sinicization,modernization,and popularization of Marxist family ethical thought.Marx and Engles’ family ethical thought is proletarian family moral philosophy.It is an important part of Marxist philosophy and the specific application and concentrated reflection of dialectical materialism and historical materialism in the field of family ethics.At present,some aspects of Marx and Engels’family ethical thought has been preliminary studied by domestic and foreign academic world,but there have been very few in-depth systematic studies of that thought.Based on the above-mentioned facts,this paper selects the topic of "The Marx and Engels’ Family Ethical Thought and Its Contemporary Value" to make a relatively systematic and in-depth study on such thought,and aims to provide theoretical support and practical suggestions for promoting the construction of modern family ethics.In addition to the introduction and conclusion,the main part of this dissertation consists of three parts.In part one(the first chapter),the author studies the connotation of family and family ethics.Firstly,she discusses the formation of family,expounds the basic connotation of family and its essential characteristics,and analyzes the morality of love,marriage and family.Secondly,this dissertation expounds the connotation,characteristics and essence of family ethics,reviews its historical evolution process,and analyzes and discusses the relationship of between social ethics and family ethics,or between morality and family ethics.In the second part(the second,third,fourth and fifth chapter),the writer studies Marx and Engles’ family ethical thought and its impacts on the world.Firstly,she discusses the formation of Marx and Engles’ family ethical thought.And then she analyzes the formation historical background of that thought;expounds its theoretical source with emphasis on the fact that the family ethical thoughts in German classical philosophy and British Utopian socialist theory is the main direct theoretical source of Marx and Engels’ family ethical thought.In addition,the dissertation also reviews the formation process of Marx and Engels’ family ethical thought.Secondly,it expounds the basic content of such thought,which includes three aspects:First,the basis of family ethics,namely the two kinds of production theory,the theory of human nature and the theory of human liberation.Second,the essence of family ethics.The paper expounds the Marx and Engels’ viewpoint of the essence of family ethics from four aspects:natural foundation,basic attribute,value orientation and social foundation.Third,the rule of family ethics,The paper focuses on the three rules of the development of family ethics.Thirdly,analyzing the characteristics of Marx and Engels’ family ethical thought,which is characterized by subjectivity,practicalness,criticalness and scientific nature and etc.Among them,subjectivity is its most important characteristic,practicalness is its cardinal characteristic,criticalness is its distinct characteristic,and scientific nature is its essential characteristic.In a word,Marx and Engels’ family ethical thought,based on the practice,is the organic unity of subjectivity,criticalness and scientific nature,and reveals the value orientation of the truth,beauty and goodness.Finally,discussing the impact of Marx and Engels’family ethical thought on the world.The paper focuses on discussing the impact of that thought on western developed countries,socialist countries such as the former Soviet Union and China and most developing countries like India,Egypt and Brazil in Africa,Asia and Latin America.The third part(the sixth chapter)describes the current situation of of contemporary Chinese family ethics and its construction.Firstly,through the investigation and study,this paper analyzes the plight faced by contemporary Chinese family ethics and its causes.Secondly,it puts forward some basic countermeasures for getting rid of family ethics dilemma and constructing harmonious and civilized family relations,that is,to establish new principles of contemporary Chinese family ethics and put forward some new thoughts on the cultivation of the correct marriage concept of contemporary college students so as to reflect the application value of Marx and Engels’ family ethical thought in contemporary China.Based on Marx and Engels’ classic works,the dissertation,with the reality of contemporary China as the foothold,deeply and systematically studies and explains the scientific system of Marx and Engels’ family ethical thought and its contemporary value.Adhering to the methodology of dialectical materialism and benefiting from the related research results both at home and abroad,the paper uses literature research method,survey method,comparative method and comprehensive research method and other research methods.Compared with related studies at home and abroad,this study is characterized with its creativeness,systematicness,innovation,practicalness and so on.The innovation of this dissertation lies in the following aspects::(1)The innovation ofresearch angle.This paper studies Marx and Engels’s theory about marriage and family from a research ethics perspective,which is still relatively rare in the academic world.That is,to study such theory from a research ethics perspective is a new angle diffing from others.(2)The innovation of the interpretation system of Marx and Engels’ family ethical thought.This dissertation preliminarily constructs Marx and Engels’ family ethical thought which is made up of three parts:the basis of family ethics,the essence of family ethics,and rule of family ethics.(3)The innovation of academic point of view.By applying the Marx and Engels’ family ethical thought in the construction practice of contemporary Chinese family ethics,this dissertation preliminarily constructs the new "three cardinal guides and five constant virtues" of contemporary Chinese family ethics.And it points out that the new "three cardinal guides" is the basic principle of contemporary Chinese new family ethics,and the "five constant virtues" is the value orientation of contemporary Chinese new family ethics.(4)The innovation of practical
