Marx And Engels’family Theory And Enlightenment For Chinese Contemporary Society

At present, China is in the new period of socialist modernization, and all aspects of social life have taken place world-shaking changes. As an important part of society, family has undergone tremendous changes, both its values and structures. These changes contain a lot of progressive contents, such as the individual consciousness, large-scale achievement of gender equality, etc. Kinship and marriage (including adoptive relationships) are the links of family. But it is undeniable that as the basic unit of society, family also has happened lots of negative changes in the process of the development, such as domestic violence, the discord of intergenerational relations and so on. All of these have directly affected the normal functioning of family and have also destroyed the harmony and stability of society. Therefore, building a socialist harmonious society must put building a harmonious family in an important position. Marx and Engels’views on family are the starting point of my paper, and" coming into contact with the status of Chinese contemporary marriage and family. Finally, this paper draws the enlightenment of Marx and Engels’family theology. From this I achieve the Marxism ideologies and the comprehensive understanding of family system. And this paper mainly elaborated from three aspects. Firstly, the researching of Marx and Engels’family theory, in order to ravel and grasp the family’s complicated system. Secondly, analyzing the family status and the causes in the background of Chinese socialist modernization; then come to the third part that Marx and Engels’family theory has major theoretical and practical significance to the construction of modern harmonious family.
