Hui Dong was a prestigious evidential master on Chinese textual studies in the academic history of Qing Dynasty.Under his direction,’ many scholars in Wu regarded the Chinese classic arguments as the guides and researches as approaches on the study of Chinese philology,including Wang Chang,Shen Dacheng,Jiang Sheng,Yu Xiaoke,Wang Mingsheng,Qian Daxin,Jiangfan,Li Linsong and so on,consisting of an academic community which affected the whole generation of the learning style in Qing Dynasty—Wu School.Besides,full reception of academic conceptions and research methods in the academic statements of Hui’s,their works were concretely carved with the influence of Hui,providing the premise for the process of the theme.With the topic of "Study on Hui Dong and Wu’s Philology" as well as the clue based on Hui’s certain academic ones,this passage establishes such a relation among academic assembled channels of Hui in the Kingdom of Wu,latter oppugn in The Book of History in the Wu Chinese Community and research on Yi of Han Dynasty.Besides,the passage also discusses the forming process of Hui’s academic research style and analyses specific impacts of his on scholars in Wu and Chinese learning style in Qianlong and Jiajing Periods so as to revive the status in the history of the two emperors and clarify the developmental trend of Wu’s "Post-Hui Dong Times".The thesis is divided into six parts:the introduction part mainly expounds the research origin of the thesis,the research review,the research object and the method.The main part consists of five chapters as follows:The first chapter-"The rise of Hui Dong and Wu School" with focus on the study of Hui Dong’s information and the rise of the concept of "Wu School" in Qianlong and Jiajing academy.The first section is about "brief review of Hui Dong" marking with his main academic works to divide his life into three periods.First is his birth(36th year of Kangxi Period,1697)to his 30th year(4th year of Yongzheng Period,1726).This stage is mainly from the inheritance from the family education to produce Selection of Wang Shizhen.The second period is from his 31st year(5th year of Yongzheng Period,1727)to the 47th(8th year of Qianlong Period,1743),exhausting his mind for the life when he finished the Ancient History Test for 9 years.The third period is from his 48th year(9th year of Qianlong Period,1744)to his expiration year in 62 years old(23rd year of Qianlong,1758)during which he transferred the stress of academic research to the Han Yi-ology and made acquaintance with Wang Mingsheng,Qian Daxin,Dai Zhen and other scholars.It was in this stage that his works received the donation of Wu Jianzeng and were continually published.As for the second section "Review of Wu’s conception construction",the notions among more than 70 years from the establishment of Qing had been restructured,revealing the integration of family,teacher and visits to promote the appearance of Academic Community of Wu School.The second chapter is "the establishment of Hui’s ’Discussions about Philology made by scholars’ and structure of Chinese Philology." This chapter laid emphasis on his inheritance of the family academics and the tie between the research conducted by Gou Chenhui,Zhou Ti and Hui Shiqi and the literary creation,exposing the transfer from literature to the philology and manifesting that he complied Selection of Wang Shizhen in the light of the family inheritance,consequently,drawing the poetry tradition stressed by the family to the study on poetry with Jianshu.The book was also compiled through methods of classics and history,which laid the correct example for the forthcoming textual research.The third chapter "Errors recognition of Hui Dong and Ancient History in Wu School"focuses on the academic achievements in his Ancient History Test.With the basis of the book,it achieves an integration of Shangshu Collection of Phonetic Notes of Jiang Sheng and Shangshu Post-transformations of Wang Mingsheng,aimed to reflecting that his contribution to the errors recognition not only inspired latter Wu School methodically and exerted fundamental effects on the philology of Wu’s in the specific research content.The fourth chapter "Research and recognition towards Hui’s and Yi" makes clear the role of Hui’s Han and Song stances in the construction of his Yi’s system through Hui’s Yi-Han-ology and Arguments on essence of Zhou and Yi.It is pointed out that it was the opposition and interweaving of Hui’s views on Han and Song’s that caused Jiang Fan’s Argumentative complement of Zhou Yi and Li Linsong’s with different emphasis on the academic writings of the same name can be existent,and promote the development of Wu School in "Post-Hui Era into different directions.Themed as "Reflection of Wu’s Research",the fifth chapter gives an overall arrangement of the heretical view from the Qing Dynasty culture and education policy-"16 Sacred Policies" with a summary of its study characteristics,revealing that the negative view is based on the Han Confucian theory together with the importance to the value of these scholars,literature.Besides,it laid the emphasis on that "uselessness" is heretics while paid attention to the real discipline.These ideas are in line with the fundamental requirements of the qing’s teaching policy.Secondly,through examination of Jiang Fan’s Le County Test,it discusses the academic relationship between Jiang Fan and Ling Tingkan,Yangzhou scholar,with comparison to the different dialogue objects of Argumentative Complement of Zhou Yi and Le County Test.In addition,the viewpoint that Jiang Fan should be affiliated to Wu School in his youth and to Yangzhou School after entering the middle age comes up.
