Study On Relationship Of Cao Pi's Acquaintance And Literary Creation

In the literary studies of the Wei,Jin,Southern and Northern Dynasties,the research of Cao Cao,Cao Pi and Cao Zhi has always received much attention from the academic circles.Especially in the 1980 s,scholars have paid more and more attention to Cao Pi's poetry,and their concern for Cao Pi's literary thoughts and works has gradually increased.The research on the ideological content,artistic style,literary theory,poetry achievements and literary status of poetry has also obtained fruitful results.However,there are still many questions about Cao Pi's inner world and his relationships.Studying Cao Pi's friendship can reveal the background of major events in his life,analyze his personal political position,and analyze the important factors that determine his life.Therefore,meticulously combing and observing the various social relations related to Cao Pi is a very important part of Cao Pi's research and the history of Wei and Jin literature.Regrettably,at present,there are not much research on Cao Pi's friendship by linking historical materials with specific works.This paper attempts to clarify the relationship between Cao Pi and others in order to locate the life of this representative emperor and talented person in Jian An literature,and further explore the topics of history with many different opinions and no clear conclusions.There are seven sections involved in this essay:In the introduction section,the researches of Cao Pi conducted in the past thirty years has been reviewed and prospected,and the significance of the research regarding Cao Pi social relationships is revealed as well.Cao Pi,is the crown prince of the Cao Wei dynasty and then became the founding emperor of Cao Wei dynasty;in the literary world,he is also one of the leaders of the Jian An talent league,and He wrote a work of literature named Theory of making friends which reflected his points regarding building social relationships including the harmonious status of combination of Yin and Yang will result in everything in the world;A sturdy relationship between the emperor and courtiers will make a time of peace and prosperity;the improvement of ethical level of the community can be achieved by people no matter from which social level,and he claimed that the true friend should adapt the norm of behaviors for example sharing not only the grief but also the delighted feelings.Cao Pi's life attaches great importance to the issue of friendship,and the scope of his travel is also very extensive.For example,besides the seven scholars of Jian An,Cao Pi also made extensive friends with famous celebrities at that time to form a political group.However,the research on Cao Pi is not enough regarding this aspect at present and this is undoubtedly not conducive to a comprehensive understanding of Cao Pi and his creation.In the first chapter,the relationship between Cao Pi and the literati from Ye Xia is discussed.Firstly,The very closed relationship between Cao Pi and Jian An seven scholars,especially the six scholars except Kong Rong was elaborated.After that,the way of coexistence between Cao Pi and Jian An seven scholars was enumerated and it was concluded that the seven scholars of Jian An had multiple influences on Cao Pi's thought and his literature.In the contrast,Conversely Cao Pi also collected,sorted and commented on the works of the seven scholars with his literary creation activities,and He firstly advocated the juxtaposition of the seven scholars and established the literary historical position of the Jian An seven scholars and he also affected these seven people.In addition,the content of this chapter focuses on Handan Chun and Po Qin and then demonstrated the relationship between Cao Pi and the literati from Ye.It is concluded that Cao Pi's interaction with the following people shows his good attitude towards literary appreciation,life care,and political tolerance.It is the conclusion of the well-deserved leader of the literati in Ye.The second chapter is about the relationship between Cao Pi and the famous scholars.First of all,this essay confirms that Cao Pi had an intimate or even equals relationship with the poets,and he kept a respectful attitude to scholars who belonged to Cao Pi's father generation,but with a high reputation has I have traveled and maintained.Secondly,four evidence is the correspondence between the two,and the relationship between Cao Pi and Sima Yi is mainly reflected in the official documents such as Cao Pi's order to Sima Yi,and Cao Pi's trust and emphasis on Chen Qun is reflected in Cao Pi's evaluation of Chen Qun's “Yan Hui” and his compliance with the Nine-rank system.The fourth chapter is about the relationship between Cao Pi and his world,and his brother relationship is directly related to his political life.Through the analysis of creations of Cao Pi and Cao Zhi,including poetry,decree,funeral orations and their experiences,this chapter draws Cao Pi's complicated attitude towards brothers that though Cao Pi was willing to be kind to his brothers,he had to regard them as subordinates or enemies.He had both love and suspicion or harm to his brothers in his life.The fifth chapter compares the relationship between Cao Pi and his father Cao Cao.This chapter summarizes the characteristics of Cao Cao's interaction firstly and draw a conclusion that when Cao Cao treats others he valued talent first and had characteristics of utilitarianism and cruel.In addition,there are both the same and differences between Cao Pi's friendship and Cao Cao's.Both of them valued talent people as a superior,and sometimes show indecent behaviors.However,Cao Pi treat people more tolerant and equal than his father.In the sixth chapter,Cao Pi and his younger brother Cao Zhi's principle of making friends are elaborated.Firstly,the characteristics of Cao Zhi's friend relationship are summarized.It can be concluded that Cao Zhi treats friends and relatives with sincerity as the principle and literature as the carrier.Secondly,compared with Cao Pi,who created his own accommodating and modest image,Cao Zhi showed more characteristics of negative talents such as arrogance in terms of making friends.At the same time,compared with Cao Pi's self-restraint and painstaking management,Cao Zhi often make it natural in the aspect of building interpersonal relationships.In the seventh chapter,the influence of Cao Yu's friends is comprehensively discussed.First of all,the political influence of Cao Pi's friends is discussed.Cao Yu's social relationship changed his own political career and also changed the political ecology of the Three Kingdoms period.For example,the concept of "making the eldest son a prince" advocated by majority helped Cao Yu win the position of the prince and then stepped onto the throne,while Cao Yu also advocated Confucian culture and prospered literature later in his power period.Secondly,the influence of Cao Pu's friends on Jian'An literature is also discussed in this chapter.For example,Cao Pi's friendship with others,especially for Ye Xia literati,directly promoted the prosperity of Jian'An literature,including the evolution of style of poetry and Fu,and progress of the literary criticism.
