ObjectiveThe aims of this study were to obtain three-dimensional static and dynamic values of Chinese Han adults by using a facial three-dimensional motion analysis system based on motion capture technology,to acquire the baseline data of facial movement among the Chinese Han population,and to establish a facial three-dimensional database of the population.The values of facial morphology and facial muscle movements were compared between different genders and facial sides to establish clinical diagnostic reference for both genders.It will provide the reference for assessing facial morphology and facial muscle movement,and do help to facial paralysis diagnosis,treatment and facial reconstruction.Method140 healthy Chinese Han volunteers(male and female,70 cases for each group),18-35 years old,normal BMI range,and normal facial movements were recruited.The date measurement was completed by using the facial three-dimensional dynamic quantitative analysis system.The result of the baseline data were recorded as mean± standard deviation.T-test was carried out to investigate the differences between two gender groups and two hemi-facial sides.ResultIn this study,static and dynamic measurement indicators that can reflect facial morphology and facial muscle movement characteristics were selected,and baseline values of population measurements were obtained.In the male group,the intercondylar width was 107.26 ± 4.86mm,the intercondylar width was 30.14 ±2.81 mm,the width of the eye was 35.00 ± 2.84mm,the height of the eye was 10.99 ± 2.62mm,the width of the nose was 27.82 ± 2.73mm,and the length of the nose was 68.53 ± 4.94mm.The mouth width was 51.95 ± 4.43mm,the lip height was 18.28 ± 3.24mm,the left nostril width was 15.33 ± 1.95mm,the right nostril width was 14.23 ± 1.91mm,the left lateral condyle was 76.77 ± 4.69mm,and the right lateral condyle was 75.76 ± 4.89mm.Left internal malleolus-oral angle 71.94±4.04mm,right internal malleolus-oral angle 71.12+4.40mm,left temporal angle 25.180 ±6.560,right lateral angle 24.940 ±6.57°,left lateral angle 29.70° ± 2.780,right angle of attack 41.130± 2.200°.Forcefully lift the eyebrows with the maximum movement distance of MMD 9.33±3.16mm,the maximum movement speed of MMV27.62+12.37mm/h,gently closing the eyes with MMV 25.77 ± 9.86 mm/h,and Forcefully closing the eyes MMV 28.00 ± 9.66 mm/h.The left shuffling nose MMD was 9.01 ± 2.58mm,and MMV was 25.20 ± 8.00mm/h.The right MMD 8.41 ± 2.64mm,MMV was 23.39 ± 7.86mm/h,forcefully show teeth MMD4.152.16mm and MV11.56±.6.31mm/h,forcefully open mouth MMD15.36 ± 5.47mm,MMV47.60 ± 18.02mm/h,smile MMD5.07 ± 2.42mm,MMV12.47 ± 7.56mm/h,beak mouth MMD6.39 ± 3.24mm,MMV17.87 ± 9.58mm/h.In the female group,the intercondylar width was 102.38± 4.26mm,the intercondylar width was 31.66 ±2.85mm,the width of eyelid was 35.61 ± 3.27mm,the height of eyelid was 12.45 ±2.92mm,the width of nose was 26.95 ± 3.41mm,and the length of nose was 68.02 ± 3.58mm.The mouth width is 51.51 ± 4.33mm,the lip height is 17.65±2.56mm,the left nostril is 15.34 ±2.96mm in width,the right nostril is 14.01 ±2.73mm in width,the left lateral malleolus is 73.29 ±4.17mm in mouth,and the right lateral malleolus is 72.41 ± 4.35mm in the mouth.Left internal malleolus-salient 67.36 ± 3.45mm,right internal malleolus-oral angle 68.01 ± 4.01mm,left lateral angle 29.720 ±6.86°,right lateral angle 33.13° ±7.140,left lateral angle 40.44° ± 3.57°,right lateral angle 40.49° ± 5.49°,Forcefully lift left eyebrows MMD7.80± 2.01mm,MMV20.98+7.61mm/h,gently closed eyes MMV 24.99 ± 8.86 mm/h,forcefully closed eyes MMV 26.48 ±9.09 mm/h,shuffling nose MMD7.48 ±2.82 mm,MMV 20.44 ± 9.90mm/h,forcefully show teeth MMD 3.98 ± 1.92mm,MMV11.02 ±6.07mm/h,left side forcefully open mouth MMD13.73±4.17mm,MMV40.19+16.13mm/h,right side forcefully open mouth MMD13.85±4.55mm,MMV40.72+17.28mm/h,left smile MMD3.75±2.03mm,MMV8.43 ± 5.52mm/h,right smile MMD4.10 ± 2.42mm,MMV9.36 ± 6.35 Mm/h,beak mouth MMD 6.70 ± 2.85mm,MMV 17.86 ± 8.20mm/h.ConclusionThe present study obtained the baseline values of Chinese Han adults by facial three-dimensional dynamic quantitative analysis system based on motion capture technology and established the diagnostic reference values for male and female groups respectively.
