Empirical Study On The Relationship Between Woody Forest Products Import And Export Trade And The Total Factor Productivity Of Forestry In China

As the important foundation industry of the national economy,forestry bears the important ecological functions,and to increase the effective supply of forest products and meet the growing demand of the social culture.Forestry economy has made rapid development,at the same time,the problems began to highlight.To understand deeply and grasp accurately the new situation at home and abroad;understand the characteristics of the forestry import and export trade development in China and the main problems exist in the current period.deeply analyze the European and American experience of import and export trade policy and its enlightenment to China;Fully grasp the characteristics of China's import and export trade policy;actively explore the import and export trade policy requirements;comprehensive planning of the overall thinking and supporting system,by which to enhance the international competitiveness of import and export trade of forest products in china;To speed up the transform of forestry import and export trade implementation and commodity structure,to grab continuelly and use good the important strategic transition of forestry industry development in our country,which is of great significance to maintain long-term stable and rapid economic development of forestry.In this study,the relationship between import and export trade of forestry and productivity growth as the research subject,by analyzing the influence mechanism of import and export trade to the total factor productivity of forestry in China,and then measure the TFP growth rate and analysis the influence factors of its composition,evaluate the contribution of TFP growth and its compositionto forestry economic growth,In the final analysis the influence and its extent of import and export trade to forestry TFP in our country.This article will be a large number of references and industry panel data as the research foundation,using the economic growth theory,total factor productivity theory,new trade theory and the basic principle and method of econometrics Starting from the actual forestry industry situation of each city.using the SFA method to measure Malmquist productivity index and dynamic spatial panel data model,using STATA14.0 measurement software for data analysis,finally in-depth analysis the influence relationship between import and export trade and the total factor productivity.Through analysising of the empirical results,combined with the actual situation of forestry economic development,providing some specific reference suggestions for making forest products import and export trade policy,so that assure our forestry economy to achieve sound and rapid development.The conclusion is as follows:First,Chinese forestry TFP grew by 4.65%a year on average in the sample period,of which technological change contributed by an average of 3.94%for the year growth of TFP,is main driver of China's forestry TFP growth;Second,in the view of sub-provinces,the average positive growth forestry TFP has 21 provinces in the sample period,of which the fastest is Chongqing provinces and the slowest is Anhui,respectively,with an average negative growth of TFP forestry has 9 provinces,the results indicate that there are obvious differences between forestry TFP growth momentum sources in different provinces;Third,in the sub-regional perspective,forestry TFP growth in the western region is the fastest,showing an very obvious technical advantage of backwardness,followed by the central and eastern regions,the growth rate of both are essentially flat,then the Northeast China has a serious negative growth;Fourth,the level of forest product import and export trade has a significant impact on the Chinese forestry TFP;Fifth,the role of import trade in promoting the Chinese forestry TFP is greater than export trade;Sixth,the accumulation level of human capital indirectly promotes the growth of Chinese forestry TFP;Seventh,the estimated coefficient of cross term of the foreign trade level and human capital accumulation is low,which indicates that the accumulation level of human capital to promote forestry economic growth is not completely revealed;Eighth,capital intensity,dependence on foreign capital and the stock of domestic R&D has a significant role in promoting Chinese forestry TFPG.Policy recommendations proposed in this study is:First,the implementation of diversified business strategy,mainly should from the direction of the trade,the trade body,trade policy measures;second,actively responding to the forest products import and export trade barriers,the related parties work together to take effective measures to defend the state and enterprise interests;Third,to improve the level of the utilization of foreign forestry capital,the utilization of foreign forestry capital project would be an important window for forestry opening and sino-foreign joint quality engineering;Fourth,to promote foreign investment cooperation in forestry,implement the strategy of "going out" of forestry;Fifth,improve forestry promotion system of import and export trade development policy,improve the status of forestry import and export trade in the national public finance system,clear the action-oriented fiscal policies,strengthen financial boost function,to promote coordinated development of forestry import and export trade;Sixth,build forestry export trade services platform to strengthen coordination and administration,accelerate the platform construction,and perfect the supervision and guarantee,build the development promotion service system of forestry import and export trade.
