Silkworm industry,originated in China,hits one of the greatest contributions our ancient working people made to the global civilization.Involving agriculture industry,the silkworm industry's primacy made it the crucial support for rural revitalization,increasing income and uprooting poverty for farmers and improving quality and increasing efficiency for agricultural industry in vast area.Opening up and reform begot significant advance for the industry."The Belt and Road Initiative",proposed in 2013,markers the outset of splendid historical mission and opportunity of silk as typical symbol of the spirit of Old Silk Road.Spatial distribution evolution of silkworm industry is shifting dramatically as further along development.Systematic analysis of spatial distribution and features of regional comparative advantege have theoretial and realistic significance for spatial distribution optimization and sound development improvement of domestic silkworm industry.The article focuses on spatial distribution,integrating analytical method for comparative advantage,spatial CG and spatial autocorrelation,in pursuit for a further insight into features,driving mechanism and optimizing scheme of spatial distribution evolution of domestic silkworm industry.Major advance and outcome are following:1.Reveal the features and driving mechanism of spatial distribution evolution.Quantitative determination indicates that industrial center is transferring from the Eastern to the Western China and from the Northern to the Southern China,in parallel with increasing concentration ratio.CRn1 index and HHI index increased from 0.19 and 0.131 in 2003 to 0.46 and 0.243 in 2015 respectively.Mulberry planting coverage center,111.09 degrees east longitude and 30.34 degrees north latitude in 2003,moved 1.72 degrees westwards and 1.45 degrees southwards,with standard span value of planting center shrank to 761.11 km from 769.15 km.It also preliminarily illustrates the systematic influence of resourece,economy,market,technology and policy on spatial distribution evolution and the action mechanism.'2.Quantitatively evaluate the economical rationality of spatial distribution evolution with regards to aggregated comparative advantage and total factor productivity(TFP).Display economical rationality via taking advantage of comparative advantage and index methodology of non-parametric Malmquist based on data envelopment analysis(DEA)model.Research shows that aggregated advantage index(AAC)of Guangxi Province increased from 0.75 to 3.28 between 1995 and 2015.While,Jiangsu Province's AAC decreased from 2.05 to 1.17 as the traditional major product area.Between 2006 and 2015,TFP of western China increased by 5.28% on average,where eastern China decreased by 3.13%.3.Construct regional advantage assessment system for silkworm industry and propose the optimization scheme for spatial distribution evolution.Assessment criteria for favored mulberry planting region include blessed ecological condition,scale advantage,regional comparative advantage,sound industrial foundation and relative independence.A set of evaluation index system for regional advantage with 3 degrees and 12 items is drafted in regard of scale advantage,efficiency advantage and industrial advantage,illustrating the development trend and strategy of favored regions in East China,South China,Southwest China and Henan and Shaanxi respectively.4.Propose the "Giving priority to development in west,optimization in central China,maintenance in the east".Policy "Mulberry Transfer from East to West" is proposed in pursuit for sustainable optimization of spatial distribution,improvement in quality & efficiency and cutting-edge in long run.We should give full play to stable and sound enlargement of production scale,in an effort to integrate interregional industry chain and shape an interactive developing pattern between the east and west China when processing in the east,producing raw material in the central China.Primary missions lie in: speeding up technological innovation and promotion of production efficiency;cutting production cost and increase in power of mulberry and silkworm;encouraging comprehensive development and utilization.Furthermore,strengthen development of regional specification and boost establishment of production bass in countries.We shall make best use of occasion to enhance industry chain in west China to achieve multi-level utilization.Finally strive to achieve macro-regulation so as to ensure stable and balanced development of silkworm industry.
