A Research On Urban Development And Morphological Transition Of Hefei

With the country's rapid urbanization,there is a conflict arise out of sync of urban economic and social transformation,at the same time,the study of urban space and form increasingly expanding into the history and the social dimension,which has a rich positive meaning of continuing the historical context of the city and shaping the city's characteristic style.Currently,the research is focused on a few big cities,the historic old city and the modern open city,but relatively little attention to the city lies central and western areas in China,therefore,the thesis select the Hefei city as a research object,which is located in the central region and had a more tortuous course of urban development,its integrated system of urban development and urban morphology historical form and its internal and external influence mechanism.The thesis with natural geographic features and regional relations Hefei background combing Hefei history of urban development,based on a comprehensive analysis of existing settlements since the beginning of Hefei to the city's historical development and the urban morphology before the 1949.The thesis divided five historical phases as “Infancy period”,“Heyday period”,“Agitation period”,“Restoration period” and “Decline period”,and From a perspective of urban funcation evolution,the thesis analysis each stage of urban development and morphological transition from the time and space lines,combined with the space syntax of the Ming Dynasty to 1949 in Hefei city form changes and cause of formation in-depth analysis.The thesis summarizes the process,the way,and the morphological character of each historical phase through analyzing the influence factor,evolution logic of urban morphology transition from multiple perspectives.the thesis carried out the dynamic analysis of the changes of Hefei city form and the internal and external influence mechanism,based of ancient city graphics and space historical information system,from six factors of the characteristics of natural geography,political function and administrative level,economic function,military function,regional traffic and regional linkage development,summarized the external influence mechanism.And the thesis summarized the stage and way of the internal influence mechanism from the changes in the function space of the city,the evolution of the city axis and the change of the urban center space.This paper tries to build a multi dimension framework of Hefei urban development and morphological transition based on regional perspective,and analyzes the typical representative and special characteristics of Hefei's urban development and evolution.The thesis systematically analyzes the internal and external driving factors behind the urban development and morphological tranition in Hefei.Through the analysis of the internal and external influence mechanism,the thesis put forward that separatism and “Middle Capital” is the fundamental driving force of the ancient Hefei city which development.In terms of the external influence mechanism of the Hefei morphological transition,the political,economic and military is diverse influence mechanism,The natural geography environment is the driving force mechanism,the transportation development is oriented mechanism,and the regional linkage becomes the longest effect mechanism of the urban morphological transition.Through the analysis of the internal influence mechanism of the urban morphological transition in Hefei,it is pointed out that the spatial integration of urban functions and the relative agglomeration of urban centers have become the important internal spatial characteristics in the history of Hefei's urban morphological transitions.Based on this,the thesis constructs a complete research method system of the internal and external influence mechanism of urban morphological transition,which provides scientific support for the protection planning and urban renewal of the old city in Hefei,while enriching the case study of the city in the central region of china,and the theoretical framework also has a certain reference to the research of the other cities.In addition,the thesis also has certain guiding significance for the recognition,protection and planning of Hefei's historical space.
