Based on its unique physical and biological advantages,heavy ion radiotherapy becomes a new edge tool to treat cancer.The own R&D digital power supplies are widely adopted in the two being-built heavy ion medical machines in Wuwei and Lanzhou.Self-contained power supply control and measurement system is crucial during installation and operation processes of power supply system.This paper research and develop a power supply control and measurement system based on own R&D digital power supply controller after analyzing the unique requirements of power supplies in heavy ion medical machine.The power supply control system meets standard model of accelerator control system.Former servers are used to provide uniform interface to control different kinds of power supplies,the competition of multi-user and multiple terminals to operate one power supply is firstly solved.Abundant functions like remote operation,virtual accelerator data transfer and synchronic pulse output are developed in operator interface layer.Specially,personalized control methods are used to control particular power supply like BUMP and scan power supplies under the uniform interface.While in the power supply measurement system,four kinds of measurement data are sent from digital power supply controller via an optical interface with a frequency of 2 KHz.A suit of digital signal acquisition equipment,parallelly receives,synchronously time-stamps,stores,and graphically displays each power supply data.All-digital power supply measurement system is firstly adopted in heavy ion medical machine.It achieves better measurement accuracy,improved noise suppression,and lower costs.The power supply control and measurement system introduced in this paper is applied and verified in heavy ion medical machine in Wuwei.It contributes to power supply system-level self-test and accelerator fault diagnosis.Due to its complete functions and economy,the system can be popularized in future heavy ion accelerators.
