Polymer Optical Fiber(POF)sensors have an irreplaceable role in biomedical sensing because of its high flexibility,high sensitivity,and good biocompatibility.In recent years,they have received extensive attention from academia and the medical community.This paper has carried out related research work on the problems existed in the application of polymer fiber optic sensors.The following innovative works,such as Polymethyl methacrylate(PMMA)optical fiber preform synthesis method,polymer single-mode fiber drawing technology,UV photosensitive polymer fiber fabrication,Fiber Bragg Grating(FBG)writing and sensing characteristics and applications,has been carried out on:1.A new insert preparation process for inserting is proposed,which successfully solves the problem of diffusion of core material to cladding in the preparation of step refractive index polymer fiber by in-situ polymerization method,and prepares different photosensitive materials.The heterogeneous polymer fiber successfully achieved a 7 millisecond fast writing fiber Bragg grating.2.An air pressure sensor was developed using the prepared polymer fiber Bragg grating to achieve accurate measurement of positive and negative air pressure.Based on the principle of polymer molecular voids,a microscopic deformation model of positive and negative pressure loads was established,and the sensitivity anomaly was successfully explained3.A polymer Bragg grating p H sensor based on coating technology was proposed.The correspondence between film properties and sensor performance was studied,and the optimal film parameters were obtained.4.An integrated monitoring sensor for heart pulsation and pulmonary expansion based on polymer fiber grating is proposed.The high sensitivity of the polymer fiber grating(the sensitivity is 20 times higher than that of the quartz fiber grating sensor),while monitoring the two state variables of the heart blood pressure pulsation and the thoracic respiratory strain waveform,not only clearly giving the blood pressure pulsation waveform,but also Ability to respond to respiratory rate and breathing depth.5.A microfluidic analysis device based on PDMS(polydimethylsiloxane)and polymer fiber grating is proposed to realize the monitoring of blood coagulation process,which can provide a favorable tool for the study of blood phase transition kinetics.
