With the booming development of information technology and network technology,human beings have more and more demands for networks,and their requirements are also getting higher and higher.The original intention of the traditional IP network design is to solve the problem of peer-to-peer communication.However,people's main demand for the network has been transformed into access and acquisition of various contents.In order to adapt to the changes in the paradigm of network use,the researchers proposed a variety of network transformation programs to meet the growing demand for Internet users,Information Center Network(ICN)is one of them.The original intention of ICN design is for fast and efficient access to content.It adopts measures such as setting cache devices in forwarding nodes and using routing strategies different from IP networks to improve the speed of obtaining content information and improve the capacity of the whole network system.However,the current ICN architecture design lacks the intelligent management.It does not have the intelligent awareness and agile decision making based on the real-time status of the network.This results in a waste of resources such as network bandwidth and cache.The types of hardware and software systems for network status monitoring existing in current network systems are becoming more and more abundant,and network operation and maintenance personnel can grasp various real-time network monitoring data information.With the popularization of mobile devices(smartphones,smartbands and smartwatches,etc.)and the development of mobile device sensing technologies,there are more and more content features of traffic data,sensor data,and user operation data obtained from mobile devices.The information above also helps the network operation and maintenance personnel to optimize the configuration of network resources.As the cost of labor continues to increase and human capabilities have limitations,the growing network demand requires network system to be more intelligent.The future-oriented network architecture is also necessarily an intelligent network system with self-adjustment and self-adaptive capabilities.Therefore,research on the sensing of the network environment in the ICN architecture with content access as the core and the corresponding research on the intelligent management of network resources has drawn more and more attention.The topic of the thesis focuses on the intelligent awareness technology that can be used to optimize the configuration of network resources in ICN.The multiple intelligent systems proposed in this thesis are mainly used to model and analyze the data information monitored in the network system and the data information collected from the user mobile devices.This realizes intelligent allocation of network resources,thereby improving the network capacity and users' quality of service.The main contributions of this thesis are listed below:1)Research on the intelligent resources management design in the information centric networking.Information centric networking(ICN)is a new network architecture that is centred on accessing content.It aims to solve some of the problems associated with IP networks,increasing content distribution capability and improving users' experience.To analyse the requests' patterns and fully utilize the universal cached contents,a novel intelligent resources management system is proposed,which enables efficient cache resource allocation in real time,based on changing user demand patterns.The system is composed of two parts.The first part is a fine-grained traffic estimation algorithm called temporal poisson traffic prediction(TP2)that aims at analysing the traffic pattern(or aggregated user requests' demands)for different contents.The second part is a collaborative cache placement algorithm that is based on traffic estimated by TP2.The traffic estimation algorithm solves the problem of low accuracy of other estimation algorithms.The collaborative cache placement algorithm considers the traffic distribution and cache resource allocation in a network domain from a global view.The intelligent network system presented can effectively reduce the average request latency of users and raise the utilization of cache resources.2)Research on the intelligent content discovery system used in named data networking.Named data networking from information centric networking applied the distributed routing and caching strategy.It can get the global view of the cache resources.To fully utilize the cache resources,the cached contents announcement strategies are proposed by researchers.However,the variety number of cached contents in a routing node is too large.Broadcasting all the cached contents to other nodes is unrealistic.Thus it is necessary to design rational announcement strategy to select the contents that the requests from other nodes may need.An intelligent content discovery system to fully utilize the cache resources,called DENA,is proposed,which encompasses the deep exponential network based cache announcement and cache exergy based cache replacement algorithms.DENA provides shortcut paths for interest packets to access targeted data packets under instructions of AT(Announcement Table)constructed by a precision cached content announcement algorithm with low communication overhead.In the meantime,a cache replacement algorithm to assist the cache announcement is also proposed.The method uses a so-called cache exergy index to instruct the replacement of cached content.The simulation results indicate that the system improves the utilization of cache resources and the network capacity while keeping the network control traffic at a relatively low level.3)Research on the intelligent user contextual awareness middleware system applied in information centric networking.With the popularization of sensor devices and the development of wireless communication technologies,intelligent awareness application services that analyze user's contextual status information are also increasingly appearing in people's daily lives.The optimization of network services involved in ICN,especially the optimization of the edge network services on the near-user side,also needs to be accomplished by means of intelligent awareness on the user status and attribute.This thesis proposes an efficient user contextual awareness middleware system that can be applied in ICN,called Senz.The system has an efficient software architecture design and an accurate user' context recognition algorithm.At the same time,the system effectively combines mobile device data with third-party data and can provide reliable and accurate instances of algorithms that are aware of various user context activities.By using the contextual awareness middleware system proposed,network operators can better realize or optimize multiple efficient cache strategies,manage the network resources allocation of the edge network and improve the network capacity.In addition,using the middleware system proposed in this paper,an service platform for the analysis on the network users can also be constructed to facilitate the network operators of ICN to better analyze the behavioral rules and attribute preferences of the network users,thereby providing users with easy and fast network access service.
