| 3D technology has widely used in many fields,and it brings the feeling of presenceand extraordinary viewing experience.However,the 3D products at present inevitably bring us the problems of discomfort which have become the main bottlenecks restricting the development of 3D technology.Therefore,the research on stereo visual comfort has important significance and value.This paper carries out deep theoretical analysis and a large number of experimental researches to investigate the depth and motion perception which have greatly affected stereo visual comfort.The main work includes the following aspects.Stereo vision comfortable fusion is one of the key problems of researching the stereo comfort.In this paper,the stereo vison comfortable fusion limit(CFL)is proposed and uses as the evaluation criteria of stereo vision comfortable fusion.The factors influencing the CFL of random dot stereograms(RDS)are studied.Subjective behavior experiments are conducted to analyze these factors affecting CFL and a prediction model influencing CFL is put forward.The experimental results show a strong correlation between the predicted and measured values.The differences between the DOF of stereo image and human physiology have great effects on viewing comfort of stereo images.This paper deduces theoretically the vision model of human physiological depth of field based on pupil diameter,and firstly puts forward a parameter k describing the differences between the display DOF and human physiological DOF;The effects of k on stereo visual comfort are studied by experiments,and a model of stereo visual comfort based on k is finally established by regression analysis.The experimental results show that the pupil diameter is the key physiological factor influencing human physiological DOF,and variation parameter k which is closely associated with pupil diameter is the important indicator to evaluate the viewing comfort of stereo images.The perception of stereo motion may greatly affect the viewing feeling.This paper designs and makes dynamic random dot stereograms,and analyzes the influence of motion direction,motion speed and motion acceleration on stereo visual comfort.Meanwhile,three stereo visual comfort models are proposed based on depth motion,horizontal motion and vertical motion on a fixed depth plane.The subjective experimental results shows strong correlation between the subjective evaluation values and the predicted values.A time difference between the left and right image in time-division stereoscopic display technology makes a person perceive changes in parallax and depth,which causes the viewer more prone to visual fatigue.Based on the time-divison stereoscopic display,this paper establishes models of parallax change and depth change caused by vertical motion and depth motion,and then puts forward a method to eliminate the variation of parallax and depth by motion compensation which is verified by subjective experiments. |
