Evaluation Of Entrepreneurship Education In Higher Educational Institutes Of Pakistan:A Case Study Of Punjab University And KPK Peshawar University

Entrepreneurship education is a hot topic in many colleges and universities around the world nowadays.Entrepreneurship education is conducive and helping to increase job opportunities and in reducing the employment pressure in the country.As an important subject of higher education,entrepreneurship education is a research project which has interest and challenge for the government and colleges and universities.It has attracted extensive attention from last century.Entrepreneurship education has a long international history,which originates from the course of business studies implemented by Business School of the United States in early days.The effect of entrepreneurial practice in Pakistan is obviously laggard than that of developed countries such as Europe,the United States and Japan etc.Higher education in Pakistan has got remarkable development in the past several years and a lot of projects of industrial upgrading and structural construction became a part of long-term strategy of Pakistan.At present,Pakistan HEC(Higher Education Commission)reviews and demonstrates the efforts of Pakistan made in establishing and strengthening the system of higher education.The study on entrepreneurship education in Pakistani colleges and universities can also provide reference for solving the realistic problems existing in Chinese society,and provide experience to the study on the system of entrepreneurship education in Chinese colleges and universities for reference and finally develop the mode of cultivating superior entrepreneurship talents in China.It aims at relieving the employment pressure on graduates in colleges and universities,solving the basic problems related to people's livelihood and promoting the sustainable and rapid development of Chinese society and economy.The purpose of this research and study is to analyze the situation of entrepreneurship education by investigating the significance and prospects of entrepreneurship education in higher educational institutes of Pakistan for improving the knowledge and skills required for entrepreneurship.Our thesis is one of the leading and first practical efforts to collect,evaluate,analyze and compare the data from the students and teachers in two famous universities of Pakistan,one located in south(Punjab University)and the other(KPK Peshawar University)located in northern part of Pakistan,which will show us the true picture and current situation of entrepreneurship education in Pakistan.Based on the data from the questionnaire survey on teachers and students in University of the Punjab,Lahore(Punjab,Pakistan)and University of Peshawar,Peshawar(KPK,Pakistan)our studies suggest that the entrepreneurship education in Pakistan can effectively improve the entrepreneurship activities of entrepreneurs.In the development process of entrepreneurship education in Pakistani colleges and universities,the implementation of entrepreneurial activity is an important practical link for the development of entrepreneurship.Nowadays,the society puts forward higher requirements on scientists and engineers.Entrepreneurial scientists and engineers will become the new impetus for accelerating social development.Thus,it is necessary to add educational training on science and technology along with entrepreneurship education so as to adapt to the development tendency of modern scientific and technological industry.As a developing country,Pakistan is confronted with the problem of poverty,unemployment and low economic growth rate.Entrepreneurship is the key for promoting economic development and solving the problem of unemployment in Pakistan.Public and private departments and educational institutes must provide international entrepreneurs a sound,good and suitable environment for spreading and development of entrepreneurship education in Pakistan like other developed countries such as the United Kingdom,the United States,etc,and the fastest developing and economic powerful neibouring country P.R China.
