Ideological and moral textbooks of junior middle school have already used more than ten years since the new basic education curriculum reform.But from the actual situation,teachers feel confused in how to know the textbooks,analysis the textbooks,understand the textbooks and use the textbooks.As the research paper of Education Doctor,trying to help and guide teachers to take comprehensive,thorough and systematic exploration in textbooks.The ideological and moral textbooks of junior middle school published by Science and Education Press are regarded as the research object and the background is basic education curriculum reform.By application of methods such as content analysis,document research,survey&interview and the guidance of textbook theory,curriculum,theory,teaching theory and some related education theory,with selecting some theories,tools,methods related,the paper analyzes systematically the overall design idea,framework and constituent parts of the textbook.Based on the research of the whole textbooks,the paper considers that it establishes the theme-leading and hierarchy-joining architecture composed of "Unit Theme-Topic-Main Content”and reflects design idea of“Line-plane Combination,Comprehensive Permeation,Innovation&Expansion,and Spiral Development";the textbook contents shall be in accordance with curriculum requirements,and meanwhile shall be appropriately extended according to students' development requirements;the textbook is designed to the whole nation and suitable for common demands and different characteristics of urban and rural students;the textbook regards students' life themes as longitude line and curriculum learning contents as latitude line to represent comprehensive requirements;the textbook takes understanding and promotion of emotional demands of students,lives as the main pursuit and emphasizes inherent combination of emotion and reason;and the textbook starts from actual situation of students and takes gradually extended student life as the foundation of curriculum construction.Based on the research of each part of the textbook,the paper reveals that its theme articles have their own unique features in aspects of linguistic expression and structure;Theme article reflects the subject attribute and realizes the course goal.667 various kinds of reading materials arrange reasonably,it conforms to the development of students' thinking and the change of subject content.All the reading materials represent student-oriented feature with others such as optimistic and healthy guidance,promotion of excellent traditional cultures and emphasis of material richness,thus they are not only the supplement of theme articles,but an important carrier of curriculum objective implementation.440 illustrations are objective and real as well as physical and event authority in order to guide students to optimistically and positively view things;illustrations have both educational meaning and artistry with profound ideological level,and meanwhile they focus on the relations with students'real life,thus it is derived from real life and also reflects the real life.Illustrations can not only extend students' knowledge,cultivate their abilities and motivate their enthusiasm,but also breed values.143 mottoes represent histories and cultures,contain refined and brief educational thoughts and cultural connotations with tendencies and features of pursuit of truth,goodness and beauty.It is the true meaning of cognition and the product of values.465 activities provide protection for practices of ideology and morality course in time and content aspects,and activity shows the situation closely related to student life.In addition,activity is designed according to the requirements of student development,ideology and morality course standard,theme articles and reading materials in textbook.Student is the subject of activity,thus complexity,form and content of an activity shall be in accordance with situations of all students.Besides,the activity is not only the material for teachers' teaching,but a platform for students to consider and practice.
