Shosoin, a world-famous warehouse, located in Todaiji in Nara Japan, stores large quantity and many different kinds of relics, which origin mainly from Tang Dynasty in China, Korea peninsula and Japan. The relics of Tang Dynasty stored in mainland China are mainly discovered occasionally from archaeological discovery, relics handed down are rare. While Shosoin is in a class of itself, and the massive historical, cultural, art and folk relics stored in there provided us important physical evidence to study not only Japan Tenpyo culture(????),but also relics, history and culture of Tang Dynasty, and it is extraordinarysignificance to the study the culture exchange between China and Japan, East Asia, and even larger territory. There are a lot of national treasures stored in Shosoin, and a lot of studies have been done in Japan. However, most of the studies are either aiming at educating the ordinary readers, or focusing on the study of a certain kind of relics (e.g. documents). The horizontal and vertical study of relics is lacking, and some details are also need to be studied. There are still a lot of study can be done in finding the organic relationship between related relics. There are more and more scholars start to focus on relics stored in Shosoin, but most of the studies are still quite general. The author has thoroughly studied the relationship and difference between relics in Shosoin,Unearthed relics of Tang Dynasty by using archaeology?historical science and philology? Giving the limited time and resources, this thesis only studied Torige Ritsujo no Byobu (??????)?incense burner with a handle (????)? Kingin Hyomon no Kin(?????), and hopefully more studies will be carried out in the future.Re typical Tang style, and Byobu is a traditional Chinese furniture, this will make people to think the TorigeRitsujo no Byobu has typical Tang Dynasty characteristic. But there is the document of“” on the back of Byobu, furthermore, and the leftover feather on theByobu is come from Japan, it proves that this Byobu is made in Japan. The different style of painting on the Byobu also proves that. In the past, most of the scholars believe this Byobu belongs to “”system, however,I think it should be one of the system yyy. The development of this pattern is,the images of immortal in Han Dynasty was influenced by Buddhism images, and it becomes Seven Sages of the Bamboo Grove (?????)in the Six Dynasties, under the influence of the Thought of dutiful son ????;In Tang Dynasty, there are figures of dutiful son (??)?Lienv (??)?Gaoshi (??)under the trees, which represent not only the meaning of exhorting, but also the immortal world. After the mid Tang Dynasty, with the change of social morality, there were increasing number of images shows normal people's life under the trees, the TorigeRitsujo no Byobu is the result of this evolution. To study the origin and development of these images, to certain extend it could speculate the fusion of Buddhism culture and Chinese traditional ideology, and the change of social morality from Han to Tang Dynasty. From this prospective, the TorigeRitsujo no Byobu is a works integrate east and west, China and Japan. There are five incense burners with handle in Shosoin. Though the origin is unknown, we should be able to conclude that the brass incense burner with ahandle(?????)and copper incense burner with a handle (?????)are made in China through composition analysis. This thesis started from theincense burner with handlein Shosoin, by studying philology, to discuss how to accurately name those incense burners. The author also summarized physical data of incense burner with handle from Jin to Tang Dynasty, and try to categorize them, and arrange them chronologically, study their evolution pattern, and the author also studied how the incense burner with handle is used thought the mural with presence of these items.KinginHyomon no Kin, another famous relic, is considered come from China by Japanese professionals. ZhengMinzhong has written a paper to demonstrate from the angel of the Guqin's construction that the KinginHyomon no Kin is made by a Japanese craftsman by copying baoqin from China. Unfortunately this paper has never received much attention. The author of this thesis found the Hu image on the body of KinginHyomon no Kin is contradiction to the Chinese traditional image of immortal world, and it's not in line with the spiritual connotation of Chinese traditional images. Based on this, the author also believe this Qin is copied and made by a Japanese craftsman. The image on the Guqin has embossment effort, which make it not suitable for playing,so most likely, this Guqin is used for view and admire, or for worship. The name of this kind of instrument is unclear in Archaeological Report, the author provided her own criteria the tell the different kind by summarize the related musical instrument of Han and Tang Dynasty (including Dunhuang grotto murals). This thesis also briefly introduced Qin from east Asia, and discussed the impact of Chinese Qin to Korea peninsula and Japan. No matter it's furniture represented by Byobu, or Buddhism item represented by incense burner with handle, or musical instrument represented by KinginHyomon no Kin, no matter where those relics are made in, they all have rich style from Tang Dynasty. And The Japanese Missions to Imperial China (???)havve contributed a lot in bringing the Tang culture to Japan. The last chapter of this thesis discussed the contribution to Shosoin by The Japanese Missions to Imperial China(???)in 8th century. And the two very important person in the history of China-Japan culture exchange,Kibi no Makibi (????)and Jianzhen(????),their contribution made enormous impact to the Japanese culture, which should never be overlooked. Beside that, the author analyzed the background of why Japanese Buddhism is so prevailing by studying the?kenbutyo?(?????),pointed out that the joint efforts of global macro environment and local social context make the precious relics in Shosoinindelible.
