The Research Of Ouyang Xiu’s Daily Life And Literary Creation

Ouyang Xiu is the most famous politicians,scholars,and litterateur in the Earlier Song Dynasty.Ouyang Xiu Research has always been a top priority among the subjects including the ancient Chinese literature.Comparing with the study of his political life,social life,academic contribution and career achievement in all aspects,the research results of Ouyang Xiu’s daily life are quite insufficient.In fact,Ouyang Xiu’s daily life is the greatest part of his life,and is also the important source of his literary creation.Therefore,this paper is devoted to explore the relationship between Ouyang Xiu’s daily life and his literary creation.First,restore the initial state of Ouyang Xiu’s daily life through organizing all kinds of historical documents.Second,judge the literary expression of his daily life from his preserved works.Moreover,reveal the reason and the characteristics from the interaction between his daily life and literary creation.In the end,pay attention to the relationships between his daily life and other kinds of lives and the related background in the whole process of investigation.Based on this,this paper establishes five chapters,mainly has the following content.Chapter 1 Pursuit the Meaning of Ouyang Xiu’s Daily Life through Six of his Hobbies.Ouyang Xiu refers to himself as "Liu Yi Buddhist".The composition of"Liu Yi" and his self-expounding proves that Ouyang Xiu has a sober consciousness and proper generalization on the state of his daily life,and reflects that he pays attention to his daily life and is complacent of his hobbies,which mentioned above become a relatively concentrated starting point on inspecting his daily life.Chapter 2 Drunkard:A Self-Image Construction in Ouyang Xiu ’s Poetry,Ci,and Prose.Ouyang Xiu’s life is closely related to the wine.He calls himself as"Drunkard" and this is not the same with ordinary literati give themselves."Drunkard" largely contains the composition of the self-image construction,and wine presents diversely in different period of Ouyang Xiu’s life,which richly showed in his literary works,especially in his poetry,ci,and prose.Therefore,this chapter will discuss the relationship between literature and wine from his poetry,ci and prose,and then outlines the meaning of "Drunkard" of his self-image(?)nstruction.Chapter 3 The Collection of the Ancient Inscriptions on the Bronze and the Stone Carvings:the Academic Daily Life and it’s Literary Significance.In Ouyang Xiu’s daily life,the collection is a frequently important activity,and this is a reflection of integrating the academic into his life.The crystallization of his hard work is the masterpiece of the Articles of Textual Research and Explanation for the Ancient Inscriptions on the Bronze and the Stone Carvings.This book also has rich and propound connotation in literature.Chapter 4 Notes and Poetics:Writing about Personal Daily Life with Literary.Guitian Anecdote Novel and Liuyi Poetic have high degree of correlation on the style and type,and both created the note work and the poetic work on the basis of their uniqueness.At the same time,the two books have a close relationship with Ouyang Xiu’s daily life.Unlike the expression in his poetry,ci,and prose,the two books pay more emphasis on the consciousness of entertaining and enjoying himself with both leisurely and humorous writing style.Chapter 5 Letters:Emotion and Literature in Daily Communication.The rich characteristics of Ouyang Xiu’s letters focus on the cohesion between his daily life and literary creation.Letters are the rich records of his daily life and the presentation of his literary creation,and show his rigorous and forthright personality,and also present his characteristics and creative personality from the perspective multidimensional.
