The Fusion Of Horizons With Text & Subject World

This paper reviews the current research paradigm of sociology of religion and points out those main problems.Firstly,most of researchers observe religions outside and can't get an anthropomorphized understanding.Secondly,the existing paradigm does not recognize the significant differences between Eastern and Western religions.Their theories have a significant Christian center color.Moreover,these paradigms haven't made distinction between religious and their practitioners.Therefore,the existing researches either remains an extrinsic describe,or just express a subjective surmise under the cover of objective point.Eventually contemporary Chinese intellectuals can neither supply a deep understanding of religion,ethnic issues,traditional culture,and cultural revival nor help the majority of ordinary believers in emotional and intellectual enlightenment.To solve these problems,this paper proposes to construct an innovative research paradigm based on the understanding of religious texts and religious practitioners.This attempt focusing on religious teachings and religious practitioners can push a deeper understanding in religions and promote religious sociology research paradigm changing.New Paradigm tries to break that purely empirical sociological research methods,and try to construct a fusion of philosophy,religion and sociology in the interdisciplinary sense.It is also carrying out a thorough Max Weber's understanding sociological approach.To achieve a truly understanding of religious phenomena,it will inevitably contain the research of religion teachings and religious practitioners.For the thorough understanding of religion teaching,the paper constructs an analysis framework contains objectives of religion,religious law and religious practice techniques trinity.For the analysis of religion target,the paper proposed a framework based on "ultimate reality" and "unity of man and God".Only by doing so,we can build a unified platform to understanding and analyzing the world's major religious doctrine.In the analysis of religious practitioners,this paper constructs four types of religious practitioners in Max Weber's Ideal Type sense.Thus we can analyze their attitudes to religion,religious sentiments and religious behaviors.By means of new paradigms,the paper analyzes the problems such as the difference between religion and science,how religious abuses generated and the relationship between religion and social morality construction.On this basis,the paper responses to the issues that what's the proper position of Chinese traditional culture and what's the intelligentsia's responsibility in the cause of Chinese national rejuvenation in the Twenty-first Century.
