Studying On Guangdong Cultural Inheritance And Development From The Perspective Of Cultural Communication

In this dissertation, Guangdong cultural inheritance and development are studied on the use of the theory of cultural studies and communication studies from the perspective of interaction between culture and communication. Based on the the existing historical material and previous studies achievement, this study summarized the development process of Guangdong culture as two leaps and three transformations in the history. One of the two leaps is happened in the period of the Revolution of1911, and the other is happened in the period of China’s reform and opening-up. As for the three transformations, one is from the root culture of the original ecology in Qing and Han Dynasty to the Central-Plains culture of the great unified feudalism in the late Qing Dynasty; another is from the feudal culture in the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China to the democratic culture in modern times; the last one is from the planned economic system to the market economic system in the early China’s reform and opening-up.Based on this study of the development history of Guangdong culture, the dissertation deeply analyzes the function and the effect mechanism of mass communication, including the influence factors, function combing and the effect mechanism of communication of Guangdong cultural inheritance and development. The conclusion of the study, such as the interactive relationship between the Guangdong culture and mass communication, complements the theory of communication studies in a certain degree and has strong theoretical significance.This study firstly analyzes the factors of mass communication and culture tradition that influence Guangdong cultural inheritance and development. Mass communication is not only the carrier of culture, but also the part of social culture. It inherits, develops, changes and even reshapes the overall pattern of Guangdong culture.Secondly, this study reviews the communication mechanism of the national discourse in the process of shaping and promoting of Guangdong culture. This study also analyzes the history and current situation of Guangdong mass communication, whose core communication mechanisms are newspapers, radio, TV and internet. The conclusion about the symbiotic and interaction relationship between Guangdong culture and mass communication is drawn by analyzing the core role acted as by media in the external and internal communication of Guangdong culture. Based on five factors of communication mode:subject, content, channel, audience and effects, this study finally analyzes the current problem of communication of Guangdong culture, which includes the lack of integrity of cultural transmission, expression imbalance and communication channels inefficient etc. And the dissertation also give some targeted suggests to enhance the cultural communication force. At the same time, this study explains the problems of the process by analyzing five aspects of the process of Guangdong cultural communication. At last, the dissertation gives the strategies with strong practical significance to enhance the cultural communication power.
