The Aesthetic Research On Non-Euclidean Architectural Form Based On The Theory Of Visual Perception Power

Compared with traditional modern architecture,contemporary non-Euclidean architectural forms often shows the characteristics of topology and fractal geometry,and characterized by a serious of non-standard,nonlinear,liquid,landscape architectural forms,such as smoothness,flow,cross,cutting,variation and distortion.It becomes so hard to use inherent thinking mode like "beauty" or "ugly" simply to judge this aesthetic perception of form as a viewer.The architects wish to seek the deeper and potential logic and connotation behind the architecture itself through the expression of form.At the same time,the viewers wish to understand the thinking about design and purpose and significance of architectural form.From this point of view,basing on a lot of reading and researching about relevant aesthetic theories,this paper choose to use the theory of visual perception power,which is a systematic theory using on psychology in art based on Gestalt Psychology created by Rudolf Arnheim.This theory use"power" to explain every forms,conclude every art form by the expression of "power",and resolve aesthetic judgement of every form into balance of "power".According to this theory,a good gestalt must be a kind of balanced status of resultant force after a serious of reactions like confronting,decomposition,transmitting,fusion.When the morphological characteristics of artistic work match to inner orientation as the aesthetic subject,people will have an emotional response and psychological comfort experience,and the artistic work will express the connotation and character itself appropriately and possess favourable aesthetic value.Based on this aesthetic principle of visual perception power and focused on the non-Euclidean architectural forms,this paper try to reveal the aesthetic characteristics underneath the irregular,complicated architectural forms after researching on the aesthetic expression of the non-Euclidean architectural forms and finish some exploring for the healthy and orderly development of non-Euclidean architecture.Firstly,after analyses,expands and modifies moderately the concept,principle,operation mechanism of visual perception power through hermeneutics,this paper focuses on the emotional aesthetic principle of power balance.Secondly,combined with a lot of practical cases and exploration in experiments,this paper discusses the visual perception power balance characteristic,psychology perception,gestalt mechanism,and emotional aesthetic characteristics in this kind of non-standard form very detailedly.Finally,this paper gets a conclusion that no matter the specific form of non-Euclidean architecture looks like,its form should correspond the need of "power" balance of people,and only balance can make the reviewers feel comfortable and delighted mentally.So to speak,this paper has analysed and expanded the theory of visual perception power to build a gene pool of aesthetic theory,and provide a new approach and method form architectural aesthetic research field.In the meanwhile,after focusing on aesthetic research on the specific non-Euclidean architectural form this paper had got a proposition that how to impove the visual sensibility of non-Euclidean architecture to get a better form effect.
