Research On Entrepreneurs’ Capability And Enterprise Growth

Entrepreneurs’capability and enterprise growth would be the topic for the doctoral dissertation. Topic research would be carried out in three aspects since it is a leading management problem for domestic and foreign researches. Firstly, what brings competitive advantages for an enterprise, i.e. what’s the "source" of enterprise’s competitive advantage? Secondly, what’s the intrinsic logical linkage between origin and development of competitive advantages, i.e. what’s the "intrinsic logic" of enterprise’s competitive advantages? Thirdly, the sustainability of enterprise’s competitive advantage, i.e. what are the influential factors for sustainable competitive advantages and how to make sustainable competitive advantages? This paper tries to make a new explanation based on entrepreneurs theory and enterprise’ capability theory from the unique point of entrepreneurs’capability.In Chapter1, an analysis on fruit of current enterprise growth theory and its shortage is provided. Based on findings of shortage, new enterprise growth theory is studied from the view of entrepreneur’s capability. In Chapter2, research on enterprise nature is provided, in which the nature of enterprise is defined as an organization to create surplus via cooperation. Analysis is given on entrepreneur’s role, capability and his characteristic. Blurred evaluation on entrepreneur’s capability is also given in this chapter. In Chapter3, research on enterprise growth mechanism is provided. It argues that activity of entrepreneur is the motive power for growth; while interaction between enterprise and entrepreneur is the way business works. Entrepreneurs play a fundamental role in the coordination. Entrepreneur’s capability transformation model is built and "intrinsic logic" for competitive advantages is found in this chapter. In Chapter4, research on entrepreneur’s capability transformation is provided. The obstacle of transformation shall be addressed by building study system. In Chapter5, innovation system establishment is proposed. Entrepreneur leads enterprise to innovate so as to gain competitive advantages. Competitive advantages of enterprise shall be maintained by isolation system. In Chapter6, study on connotation of enterprise growth and its growth characteristics as "manmade" organism is provided. Intrinsic linkage between entrepreneur’s capability and enterprise growth is studied too. Accumulation of entrepreneur’s capability creates "cooperative surplus" for organization to realize enterprise growth.
