Supply Chain Risk Research Based On Perspective Of Risk Appetite Of Supply Chain Members

With the improvment of market response speed requirements as well as natural andeconomic environment of frequent changes, the target of supply chain members is not just thecase of risk-neutral revenue maximization or cost minimization, but requirements to achievethe operational objectives of the participating companies in the premise of minimizing losses.Evolution and variation of the risk appetite of the supply chain members have become acommon phenomenon.In fact, the risk appetite is the logical starting point of risk management,each stage of the risk management process will be subject to the risk attitude of participatingmembers.The same time, due to supply chain risk will pass between the member companies,and thus risk appetite changes of member enterprises will further risk to other members andthe entire supply chain have positive or negative effects. Therefore, how to deepenly study theadaptive supply chain risk management theory and methods based on the the perspective ofrisk appetite,which not only has significant application, but also outstanding scientific value.From the supply chain risk point of view, the most researches are on the perspective ofrisk management framework, assessment method, risk transfer and management strategy. Theformation mechanism of risk reveals is insufficient. Especially, when research sources of thesupply chain, which are still given priority to influence factors of risk with qualitative analysissupply chain endogenous and exogenous factors. It is lack of analysis on the widespread riskcorrelation and risk preference between members enterprise. It will lead to the lack of memberpreferences when assess supply chain risk, and then makes the subsequent managementmethod of supply chain risk deviates from the practice foundation. From the supply chainmanagement that related member preference, the present study tends to the reconstruction ofthe model and method under different risk preference combination, which are lack of theoryand experiment research for the influence factors of risk preference and its characterizationunder the background of supply chain. In fact, the recognition of member enterprise riskpreference and its influencing factors is a basis to quantitatively describe risk preference,evaluate and manage supply chain risk. Through the judgment the influential factors whichare main factors and importance how to sort, it will has an important significance for the studyof decision-making why appear many decision deviation and how to better avoid these deviation. In view of this, this article selects the supply chain risk recognition and evaluationfor research object, by the members risk preference difference into perspective, and constructssupply chain risk recognition and evaluation frame system referencing the risk management,supply chain management, game theory, experimental economics, behavioral economics,financial engineering theory and method. First of all, the paper set up supply chain riskformation system based on the perspective of the members of the preference, and analysis theinfluence mechanism of supply chain risk on the perspective of member preference.Secondly, the paper quantitatively describes and validates the risk preferencecharacteristics of member enterprise on the basis of experimental study method. The paperconstructs the mixed measurement model of supply chain risk assessment which contains themembers risk appetite and risk contagion. The empirical results show that the model canaccurately measure the risk value of member enterprises and entire supply chain, and it isfeasible and easy to operate.The subject of this dissertation from the management of supply chain practices and thedevelopment of modern Logistics needs, while adopting a more scientific and experimentalresearch to identify the key risk factors, effects and measurement framework of supply chainrisk in risk appetite. This study can not only compensate for lack of pure theoretical researchand built supply chain risk management theory and methodology with Chinese characteristics,and also can greatly enhance the application value of research, as well as help relevantorganizations more accurately and effectively identify, assess and guard against default risk.
