The culture of filial piety, a pillar of Chinese ethics, is an important part oftraditional Chinese culture. However since the20th century, as the politicalmodel in The Same Structure of the Clan and Country disintegrates, the order offamily ethics is also changing.Recently China is experiencing the ethical crisis,in which the obvious features as the anomie of filial piety. Standing on the pointof the construction of socialist culture and rural governance, the systematicresearch is in emergent need about the filial piety issues of transition period."Filial Piety and Rural Order in the Social Transition-Southwestern ShandongVillage H" is written based on the specific social lifestyle in economic, social,ecological structure and the relevance between piety associated and ruralorders from a sociological vision. and further study on transformation of ruralmorality and discourse, variation of Authority and order, substitution of Virtueand rule of law. Along this logic train of thought,3parts are mentioned below.Part1Social Transformation·Disorder of Village· Filial Piety AlienationIntroduction, Chapter I the changing social and ecological order in Village H,Chapter II "Fracture and Inheritance": village discourse and practice of filialpiety in a new era are included.This section lays out the cultural and geographical coordinates of thepractice of filial piety and the analysis of human customs, social life, the grayspace, etc. The research points out the cultural ecology field of the filial piety inVillage H. Then, through the historical memory of the notions of filial piety, thesection contains the tiered standard and its order features in the field of keepingbalance of raising or respect with filial piety. Using this kind of analytical tools,the writer separately investigates the knowledge and achievements from boththe concept and practice. But when we enteredinto the modern time, especially when Chinese proceed Reform and opening upin1978. it caused all-around changing in the social, economic and cultural field.Rural society’s local knowledge and regular power is weakening, The traditionalcultural power declined, and filial piety lost its survival environment, But as Maxweber proposed that business rational calculation based on the social trust ofethical spirit,There also need new Institutional culture to Provide specificationand consensus in the process of rural social transformation. Standing in theheight of the rural governance, from the angle of national and social interaction,We should re-examine the modern value of the filial piety culture, explore therelevance of endogenous order in rural society, and reshape the future of thecountry culture.
