Tod "Green Tara's Story" Text Study

Along the spread of Buddhism in Mongol region, belief of Tara also became popular. Besides temples and monasteries, there are lots of literatures and folk literatures about Tara. As we all know, Green Tara and White Tara are most well known in Mongol region and "Story of Green Tara" widely spread. It has many different versions like "Story of Green Tara","Story of White Tara","Story of Mrs. Mahama","Story of Mrs. Bagema".The main study objects of this paper are Clear Script version "Story of Mrs. Bagema" and "Story of White Tara", which are found in2004and2005from Xinjiang Uighur Autonomous Region. The other study objects are Mongolian version "Biography of Green Tara" and first chapter of "Story of White Tara", which are found from Language and Literature Research Institute of the Mongolian Academy of Sciences.Firstly, this paper present own view about the author and creation time of "Story of Green Tara". Secondly, using comparative research method to compare the Mongolian version and clear script version "Story of Green Tara". Then, using Literature research method to make the Latin translation, word explanation, index and so on.This paper consists of Introduction, Latin Translation, Clear Script word explanation, index and conclusion:I Introduction:Introduction consists of four sections. First section, introduces the literature review, the purpose and meaning of the chosen topic, research method, source of data etc. Second section has two parts.1. Briefly introduces Tara and Literature about Tara.2. Present own view about the author and creation time of "Story of Green Tara". Third section:1. Text introduction of new discovered Clear script "Story of Green Tara" and Mongolian version "Story of Green Tara".2. Through text comparison conclude the origin relations, property and characteristic of two above mentioned texts. Fourth section:1. Text introduction of newly discovered clear script "Story of Green Tara".2.
