Objectives:To study the role of Toll-like receptor9(TLR9) in the pathogenesis process in acute pancreatitis (AP).Methods:Thirty five patients with acute pancreatitis and fifteen healthy volunteers were involved in this study, peripheral blood was taken on the first day after admission and the day of health examination; Real-time qPCR was used to test the express of TLR9mRNA in peripheral blood monocyte (PBMC); ELISA was used to measure the level of interleukin-1β (IL-1β) in plasma. Results:On the first day after admission, the TLR9mRNA expressed on the PBMC was higher in the mild acute pancreatitis patients than the control group (P<0.05); and the TLR9mRNA expressed in the severe acute pancreatitis group was higher than the mild acute pancreatitis group (P<0.05); IL-1β measured in MAP group was higher than the control group (P<0.05), and the IL-1β level in SAP group was higher than the MAP group; the corelationship analyzed by Spearman Analysis showed there was an obvious linear correlation between TLR9mRNA express and IL-1β level (r=0.87, P<0.01)Conclusions:Our findings reveal that TLR9involves in the pathogenesis process of human acute pancreatitis and may play an important role in the early production of inflammatory factors.
