Classical Garden is a comprehensive art, and a very important branch oftraditional Chinese art. Garden aesthetic categories is the only way to study the gardenaesthetics, reflects the most basic and common cognition of the subject towards all thecontents related to “beauty†in the garden, which is often associated with aestheticpractice, usually referred to as “aesthetic categoriesâ€. The living wisdom manifestedin the context of the Chinese garden aesthetics directly reflects the traditional Chinesephilosophy in the same strain. Establishment ofhumanism in Wei, Jin and Southern and Northern Dynasties, spawned the maturity ofthe sense of physical aesthetics and flourish of paintings, statues, and garden andother arts; its innovation in methodology promoted the confluence of Confucianism,Taoism, and Buddhism Cultural Thought, which laid a foundation for Buddhismpopularity in China; formation of the rational natural cosmology broke the monopolyof Chinese culture and thought by the divination and superstition; and the generationof speculative methodology increased the logicality of theory, all of these have a closerelationship with metaphysics which is popular.With the original literature as well as the previous analysis and summary, theauthor comprehensively summarized the basic theoretical ideas and formation processof the Metaphysics in Wei and Jin Dynasties. Extracted all the theoretical contentassociated with the aesthetics, and associated it with the traditional Chinese aestheticcategories, thus establishing a close internal relationship between the two.The paper directly reveals the philosophical roots of the formation of traditionalChinese garden aesthetic categories, explores the deep ideological connotations it reflected, reaching the purpose of enhancing its theoretical level.
