Study On The Development Of Small Holder-inclusive Agricultural Product Supply Chain In Poverty Area

The contradiction of "small-scale production and big market" is a seriousproblem in the development of agriculture, which is particularly outstanding in thepoor areas in China. Supply chain of agricultural products which can connect thefarmers, agricultural enterprises and consumers as a complete net, is one of the waysto alleviate the contradiction. The supply chain can reduce the agricultural producttransaction cost and realize the interests of each subject in the whole supply chain bycontrolling the logistics, cash flow and information flow. Therefore, it will be aneffective way to reduce farmers’ risk and improve the production income in poor areato attract small farmers to the development of the supply chain.At present, we just started the research of supply chain of agricultural products inChina and the management system of supply chain in poverty area is not perfect, theresults is that the effect of promoting farmers’ income and reducing poverty reductionis not obvious. The reason of this situation is various. It is not only because thecharacters of farmers, such as scattered distributed and less educated, but also becauseof the external market environment and institutional constraints. Therefore, studyingthe present situation of the development of supply chain in poverty area, trying to findout the influence factors and constraints and making suggestions is particularlyimportant.This thesis is divided into seven parts: In the first chapter, we presents thesignificance of this study, also what and how we do in the research and the literaturereview. The second chapter expounds the current situation of farmers in poor areasbeing attracted into the supply chain; The third chapter studies the factors andrestriction of the development of the supply chain which includes small farmers；Thefourth and The fifth chapter respectively analyze the development model andoperation mechanism of supply chain including the small farmers from two parts, and research of the development of the supply chain which includes small farmers; Thesixth chapter summarizes in the development of supply chain of the United States, theJapan and the Netherlands, and based on the experience, we have summed up theexperience; In the seventh chapter, we puts forward the correspondingcountermeasures and suggestions based on the study of the above, hoping to providethe reference for the development of supply chain of agriculture products in poor areain China.
