The Communist Party Of China Party Culture Research In The New Period

Probing into the issue of party construction from the perspective of cultural studies is conducive to develop new ideas of party construction. How to define the conception of the political culture of CPC is the starting point of the study. The so-called political culture, which is formed in the long-term process of political practice and widely shared by the vast majority of members, is the combination of ideology, psychology of political parties, party norms and behaviors. Political culture is the stable tendency cultivated during a long time and should be recognized by the vast majority of the members. It is an organic system of ideology, psychology of political parties, party norms and behaviors. The political culture of CPC, formed in the New-democratic Revolution, socialist construction and the practice of reform and opening up and recognized by the members of Chinese Communist Party, is the combination of psychology of political parties, the party’s institutional and ethical norms and behaviors based on the ideology of Marxism.The formation of the political culture of CPC has undergone four phases:embryo, production, development and mature. After the founding of new China, the political culture of CPC began to shift from a revolutionary party culture to the ruling party culture, during which experienced a tortuous process of exploration. After the Third Plenary Session of the Eleventh Central Committee, the ruling party culture of CPC has gradually formed and has been improved. From the process of formation and development of the political culture of CPC, we can conclude the following revelation: we should insist on the high cultural consciousness of political party construction, promote constant innovation of political culture and enrich the means to the socialization of political culture. After a long period of development in history, the political culture of CPC, such as party ideology, party psychology, party system, party ethic, party behaviors and etc. have been enriched and improved in the new era. The development of political culture of CPC contributes to its exertion. Its basic functions includes shaping the party’s validity, enhancing the party’s cohesiveness, regulating the party’s and its member’s behaviors and the demonstration effect on social culture.In the new era the development of political culture is facing various challenges. China’s social transformation brings about impact on the political culture; conflicts among different cultures in the trend of globalization brings about immense pressure upon the development of political culture and the bad subculture existing in the party does harm to the development of political culture. Therefore, facing the current situation of the development of political culture in the new era, we should actively explore the coping strategies, cling to the creative principle, collaborative principle and open-consultive principle and try hard to promote its development. To achieve this, we should try various means such as follows:to realize political culture’s strategic status, create favorable development environment, enhance the construction of Marxist learning party, enrich the carriers and approaches to communicate political culture, improve the system to guarantee its development and etc.
