In Qin Dynasty, Guangxi Region was included in the territory of the central government. Also in the Qin Dynasty, the Han culture was spread in a wider scope in Guangxi Region. Therefore, the study of Guangxi Region’s Han culture during Qin and Han Dynasties and exploring the social change of Guangxi Region during this period under the influence of Han culture not only, has important academic value, but also has some practical significance.There is not much literature about the history of Guangxi Region Dynasties during Qin and Han. Based on previous research results, this dissertation made full use of archaeological data from archaeological excavation reports and collected works of Qin and Han tombs& sites in Guangxi Region from the 1950s to the 2009s and limited literature, by using the systematic method, evidence law, comparative law, cultural factor analysis as well as the chart method, from the material level, the system and the organizational level, spirit level, studied Han culture in Guangxi Region during Qin and Han Dynasties comprehensively and systematically.This dissertation consists of seven parts. The Introduction part reviewed Han cultural studies of Guangxi Region in the Qin and Han Dynasties, which affirmed the achievements of the studies, pointed out the deficiencies, and introduced the use of this materials, research methods and main content. Based on introducing Guangxi Region’s cultural landscape in the pre-Qin Period, the first chapter were the statistics of the Qin and Han tombs and sites in Guangxi Region and the analysis in accordance with regions, periods; combined with handed documents and historical materials related to research results with the predecessors to study the evolutional characteristics and the distribution of Qin and Han tombs. This is the basis of this study. The second chapter, from the material level, by periods, regions, type of classification, analyzed the tombs’ Han cultural factors of Qin and Han Dynasties in Guangxi Region:the Han-style tools for production, handicrafts, Han-style materials. From the system and the organizational level, the third chapter analyzed Han cultural factors, including the Han-style manor, Han text, counties forms. The fourth chapter, from the spiritual level, studied Han cultural factors:the Han-style musical instruments, gambling, Han customs. The fifth chapter analyzed incoming channels and carriers of the archaeological findings of Han culture. Spreading Han culture in the Guangxi Region, the carriers were mainly the stationed troops, the crime of ethnic Han, derogatory officers, imperial officers, businessmen, going-northward-studying scholars, hostages of the Han imperial court, the spontaneous Han immigrants and businessmen. The last part is a conclusion for this dissertation.Through the whole dissertation, we can find that Guangxi’s tombs and burial sites and sites in Qin and Han Dynasties are mainly in the northeast, the center and the southeast of Guangxi Region. During Qin and Han Dynasties, Han culture mainly from the central plains region spreading in the Guangxi Region were mainly concentrated in the northeast, the central and the southeast of Guangxi Region. Han culture spread in Guangxi Region mainly through official channels such as compulsory means, while the major carriers were the imperial officers, migrants, businessmen and so on. Han culture spreading in Guangxi Region accelerated socio-economic and cultural development in the region. Therefore, it is necessary for us to study Han cultural contents in Guangxi Region during Qin and Han Dynasties with a comprehensive system from material, systems and organizations, which helps us to understand Guangxi Region’s historical development during the Qin and Han Dynasties better.
