Study On Style Of The Five-character Poetry In The Wei And Jin Dynasties Based On The View Of Cultural Criticism

The five-character poetry during the Wei and Jin Dynasties is in a crucial period preceding, and has an irreplaceable research value. Since ancient time,Scholars have studied the topic from different perspectives. Previous related research has not furthered into the article’s linguistic level. In addition,longitudinal evolution of poetic forms could not be considering. So,the paper puts forward the topic of “Study on Style of the Five-Character Poetry in the Wei and Jin Dynasties based on the View of Cultural Criticism”. The main purpose of the paper is to tease out the development vein of the five-character poetry language form in the Wei and Jin Dynasties through breaking down the walls of the internal and external research, combining with cultural studies and linguistic research.The concept of “style” originated from the field of Linguistics. According to Mr. Tong Qingbing and Mr. Guo Yingde explained, style in the field of literature is the form of the language that reflect the literature genre and matched with specific genre. According to ancient Chinese literary theory, Chinese ancient scholars had realized the stylistic problem and had accumulated abundant research achievements. Benefit from the method of the style research, the paper has further into the article’s linguistic level and analysed on the evolution process of language form including vocabulary, syntax and rhetoric etc.Besides, literary creation is not independent of social development. From the perspective of Cultural Criticism,we can found that the development of style of the five-character poetry in the Wei and Jin Dynasties has be influenced by a variety of historical and cultural factors in each period.According the period that literati accepted and transformated style of the five-character poetry, this paper is divided into five chapters.The first chapter is a discourse on that literati in Han Dynasty accepted style of the five-character poetry. Because of the awakening of the literati’s subject consciousness and the advantage of style of the five-character poetry, the five-character poetry become the primary poetic style that literati express their feelings. The end of the Han dynasty and the Wei and Jin Dynasties adjacent to each other,so the former is the preparatory stage of the refining of style of the five-character poetry.The second chapter is on establishment and perfection of written style of the five-character poetry during the separation process of the Song and Poem in the Cao-Wei Dynasty. The Cao-Wei Dynasty includes two stages of “Jianan” and “Zhengshi”. The separation process of the Song and Poem is an important phenomenon of both culture and literature. Because of the alteration of communication media and communication ways, the five-character poetry Showed characteristics of written style. Besides,during the process that poets in the Jianan and Zhengshi period established the pattern of written style, intertextual writing played a key role. Cultural integration is implemented during the devlopment of the five-character poetry at that time.The third chapter is on the comprehensive refining of style of the five-character poetry in the Wei and Jin Dynasties society with foppish gentleman wind. Most of the anthors of the five-character poetry in the Western Jin Dynasty were civilian scholars. They were in a subordinate position in the upper class society,so that they become catering to the current foppish gentleman wind. It led directly to this tendency of the creation of the literati five-character poetry in the Western Jin Dynasty that the the form of poetry is delicate and the content is empty. In terms of syndrome differentiation,because the Western Jin Dynasty literati attached great importance to the language form of the five-character poetry,they improved the procession of the refining of style of the five-character poetry and completed their historic mission.The forth chapter is on the particular tendency of style of the five-character poetry in metaphysics cultural context in the Eastern Jin Dynasty. With the prevalence of metaphysics, there had been a vast amount of metaphysics. To this end,the formalistic trend of style of the five-character poetry in the Western Jin Dynastyin disappeared. Moreover, with the increase of metaphysics substance, style of the five-character poetry in the Eastern Jin Dynasty gradually draw further apartthe refining of style of the five-character poetry.The fifth chapter is on the development of style of Tao Yuanming’s five-character poetry based on his view of nature. As the last important poet, Tao Yuanming is not only the summarizer of the nature view,but also the summarizer of the techniques of refining of style of the five-character poetry. He explained the aesthetic realm of implicity and genuineness with a special language form,and set up the pattern of style widely imitated mover.From Jian an Period to 427 A.D Tao Yuanming died in, the five-character poetry in the Wei and Jin Dynasties developed with a history of two hundred years. Due to the full participation of literati,at the period the trend of the development of poetry is poets constantly exploring art characteristics, the beauty of form and the technique of expression of the five-character poetry. At the same time, with the trend we can learn the procession of literary consciousness in the Wei and Jin Dynasties and the development direction that literature independen from generalized academic scope. Under such a background of the times, the five-character poetry in the Wei and Jin Dynasties developed continuously towards the goal of the refining of style.
