Fan culture in the age of network,is a kind of popular culture as most socialmembers participated in. It not only reflects the characteristics of the time,also reflectthe mental state of people’s value orientation. It is a subversion,supplement andreconstruction of the social traditional culture and the mainstream culture. The draftprogramme with fully participation in2005“super singing girl” swept the country onthe occasion,fans group also come on stage with new attitude and mature size.Compared with the “groupies” before the era of network,“fans” have the essentialdifference. Reported as a more diverse group constitution,more interaction andorganization between members of the group. Because of the technology innovation,the interaction between fans and idols also occurred a fundamental change. Starchaseris no longer a patent of adolescent boys and girls. The matured and rationalmiddle-aged female fans also joined the chasing team. Sociology,economics,culture,politics,journalism and many other scholars in its own field had interpreted theculture of fans from different angles, but lack of the indigenous psychologyperspective.The research take the popular Asia Hallyu star in2014Lee Min Ho’s middleaged female fans as study objects. Take the perspective of Chinese indigenouspsychology, analyze the reason which Lee Min Ho has his moment and thepsychological idolatry of middle aged female fans,to indicate the self breakthroughand psychological growth obtained by the middle-aged female fans,also to study thepromotion of the psychological quality of life obtained in the process of starchaser,inorder to promote a positive cultural development and to lead fans culture to a healthydirection. The research is divided into six parts. The first part is the origin and significanceof the research,and the research methods and innovation. Starting from the origin ofthe study,the domestic and foreign trends of the fans culture research are outlined andevaluated,which raises its own research perspective——The worship of idols fromthe perspective of indigenous psychology. The study take the object of Lee Min Ho’smiddle-aged female fans in different age,occupation,region,income and educationbackground,using the case method,participant observation,depth interview methodand the method of documentation.The second part is to tease the culture of fans from the perspective of the popularculture. Starting from two perspective:the “groupies” before the era of network andthe “fans” in the era of network,analyze the features of fan groups in differenthistorical periods. Briefly introduce the psychological stereotype of the mainstreamculture to the fans group and the damage which extreme and crazy idol worship bringto fans and idols and the society. Before the era of network,“groupies” has thecharacteristics of information dissemination,constrained exchange form and membersof low age. But the characteristics of the “fans” group has the essential difference. Infans group,members have a pluralistic structure,there is a clear division of theinternal group,the group interaction is more convenient and fast,the group affectiveare highly condensed and the group members also have strong liquidity.The third part mainly explain why idols become popular idol,interpret thepsychological motivation of Lee Min Ho who can attract middle-aged female fans.The idol worship in network era has more diverse form,entertainment stars,politicians,scholars,radio host,network reds and so on,may all be loved and becomepopular objects. At the end of2013,the Hallyu after years of silence stage a comeback.From the view of “social effects caused by Lee Min Ho” in economy,culture andpublic service level,analyze the charm of the Korean drama and the role played byLee Min Ho and also his unique personality charm,focuses on the positive energywhich high quality idol star spread and the positive demonstration effect from idol tofans. The fourth part mainly explains why fans become loyal and enthusiastic fans,and willing to pay time,energy and money to idols. In the era of consumerism,thesubjectivity of human psychological difficultie,lack of disintegration,various lifeevents triggered by the social moral crisis,psychological anxiety,lack of trust andsecurity,are in urgent need of emotional comfort and pressure release. Through theanalysis on the psychological demand of middle-aged female fans to idol from theindigenous psychology angle,in order to elaborate a healthy and posivive idolworship on positive significance for fans. The rational and healthy idol worship willlet fans produce aesthetic sense of well-being,and a sense of belonging,to re-examineone’s life and inner mind during the worship of idol,to improve the psychological lifeand to constantly breakthrough oneself.The fifth part is to starting study from the angle of Chinese indigenouspsychology,interpret the psychological life,psychological environment and thepsychological growth of the middle-aged female fans. To study the fans culture andmiddle-aged female fans group from the perspective of Chinese indigenouspsychology, in order to promote the development and prosperity of Chineseindigenous psychology through the study of popular culture.The sixth part is the conclusion and reflection of the study,and the prospect ofthe psychology research on fans culture. The indigenous psychology provides a newperspective on the study of fans culture. At the same time,the study of popular culturelocalization also enrich the study of psychology and promote the process of thelocalization of psychology. The study of popular culture localization can also beviewed as promoting and complementing the psychology localization. The female is amajor component part of the fans group,they often pursuit the spiritual life moreintensely than men. While the female population of idol worship is often interpretedas factors and sensory,desire and other related,but ignoring the psychological needsand the psychological growth obtained in the process of idol worship. Middle agedfemale fans had reexamined their life and internal mind in the process of idol worship.They began to pay attention to their potential and value,living deeply and work conscientiously. They are the mature and rational “groupie” in the entertainmentindustry age.Although the crazy star chasing impulse behavior is not to be encouraged,butalso should not ignore the mainstream fans’ enthusiasm and creativity. To guide theactively and the healthy development of fans culture through the mass media,ratherthan to sacred or demonizing the fans group. At the same time,fans’ quality should beimproved continuously. The idol is not God, idol worship is also not everythingabout life,only the fans who has self-esteem,self-respect,mental health and perfectpersonality,can get social recognition and respect,to build a healthy psychology lifeand obtain the improvision of the psychological life quality and achieve thepsychological growth.
