Idol worship is a common phenomenon among junior high school students.Irrational worship of idols makes teenagers indulge in unrealistic fantasies,ignore self-understanding and exploration,have a bad effect on study,cause interpersonal conflicts,can not adapt to the real environment,school adaptability is low.On the other hand,we can also observe that some students’ idol worship does not affect their study and life,and promotes junior high school students’ learning and imitation of some good qualities,and improves students’ self-esteem and confidence.Does rational worship contribute to adolescents’ self-concept clarity and school adaptation? The purpose of this study was to explore the relationship between idol worship,self-concept clarity and school adjustment of junior middle school students,and to predict the mediating role of self-concept clarity in the influence of idol worship on school adaption.In the first study,647 junior middle school students in Wuhan were surveyed by means of questionnaire,by using Idol Worship Questionnaire,Self-concept Clarity Scale and School Adjustment Scale.Invalid questionnaires were eliminated and 618 valid questionnaires were recovered.To explore the status quo and correlation of junior high school students’ idol worship,self-concept clarity and school adaptation.We get the result of study 1,it’s easy for us to find 20 students with low self-concept clarity and school adaptation level for study 2 and randomly divided into control group and experimental group for every 10 students.Group psychological counseling program was developed to improve students’ self-concept clarity and intervention was conducted for the experimental group through online group counseling.The control group did not do other intervention except routine mental health.The results show that there is a significant difference between the experimental group and the control group.Network group psychological counseling can effectively improve the level of self-concept clarity of junior high school students,so as to promote the school adaptability.The specific conclusions of this study are as follows:(1)Self-concept clarity was positively correlated with school adaptation.(2)Rational worship is positively correlated with school adaptation;Irrational worship is negatively correlated with self-concept clarity and school adaptation.(3)Self-concept clarity plays a partial mediating role in the influence of irrational worship on school adaptation.(4)Network group psychological counseling can effectively improve the clarity of junior high school students’ self-concept,so as to improve the school adaptation level. |
