Oriental History by modern Japanese is focused by Sinologists all over the world, and research of Kyoto School is outstanding and has won tremendous respects and concerns. As the one of founders of Kyoto School of Oriental history, Kuwabara Jitsuzo mainly engaged in Sino-foreign communication history, Chinese cultural history and Chinese legal history etc. His works was not rich published during his lifetime, but had great academic value e. Kuwabara advocated scientific research, abundant data and textual study, which earned him the title of "fine solid textual Oriental historian". His research methods and results, not only are respected by the Japanese scholars, but also referred by Modern Sinologists conducting related researches, and given high marks.Kuwabara Jitsuzo performed outstanding in Kyoto School of oriental history. His view of history and China has great difference with other scholiasts of Kyoto School in the same time. In this paper, through the analyzing and researching results on Kuwabara Jitsuzo’s Chinese value, the Sino-western communication and Chinese regional culture, summed up that Kuwabara Jitsuzo had strict attitude in the academic research, the character of truth pursuit and the complex attitude to Chinese culture. Through comparing and analyzing with other representatives of the Kyoto School, this paper features his academic research in many aspects as far as possible.
