This study focus on the research on Han Yu’s poems and prose in Qing Dynasty, It analyses some critics’research and discussion about Han Yu’s poems in different phases of Qing Dynasty with historical sequence. This thesis lists and analyses the select condition of Han Yu’s poems made by the main commented editions, selections and collections in Qing Dynasty. Then it makes a conclusion about the features of Han Yu’s poem research in Qing Dynasty, affirms its innovation and achievement, meanwhile, points out its defects. Through these methods, the thesis views to reflect the overall perspective and fill the academic blank of Han Yu’s poem research in Qing Dynasty.Li Guang-di explained Han Yu’s Confucianism thought through the commendatory of Han Yu’s poems and proses, affirmed Han Yu’s important status in Confucianism history and elucidated his own Confucianism thought. The book Zha Chu Bai Shi Er Zhong Shi Ping written by Zha Shen-xing contained the comment on Han Yu’s poems. The comment made concise summarization without textual notes. Gu Si-li’s Chang Li Xian Sheng Shi Ji Zhu was the first special annotated edition of Han Yu’s poems and the foundation work in Qing Dynasty. The author learnt widely from others and formed his own theory. It not only contained ancient text interpretation but also the textual research on geographic and historic names, laid a foundation for further research in this field.In the Qing Dynasty, more and more people began to study Han Yu’s poems, the discussion of Han Yu’s poems in Qing Dynasty was set up on the basis of the previous exposition, and the evaluation of Han Yu’s poems could put forward original opinions. As the literary leaders in Early Qing Dynasty, Qian Qian-yi’s poetic principle which known as "spirit, times and wisdom" was in connection with Han Yu’s poetic theory. He also learnt from Han Yu’s poems to write some wisdom poems. The most significant poet in Early Qing Dynasty was Ye Xie. What he emphasized on was the broaden horizon and innovativeness of Han Yu’s poems. Ye Xie first laid equal stress on Li Bai, Du Fu, Han Yu and Su Shi, which was an unprecedented enhancement of the status of Han Yu’s poems. Zhu Yi-zun appreciated the poetic style in Early Tang Dynasty and the glorious age of Tang Dynasty. He studied Han Yu’s poems and wrote The Criticism on Han Yu’s poems which collected in Chang Li Xian Sheng Shi Ji Zhu. He Zhuo’s preponderance in research was mainly manifested in the punctuation and annotation of Yi Men Du Shu Ji and Chang Li Xian Sheng Shi Ji Zhu. He combined interpretation and criticism in the book and showed new ideas. He also commented on Han Yu’s poems in the way of textual research, annotation criticism and artistic analysis.Fang Shi-ju’s Han Chang Li Shi Ji Bian Nian Jian Zhu annotated Han Yu’s poems on the base of former academic research. The most important achievement of this book was the chronicles of Han Yu’s poems. In addition, it also gained success in textual research, works annotation and meaning elaboration. There were also some special commentary editions such as Du Han Ji Yi written by Wang Yuan-qi, and Li Xiang’s Han Shi Zheng Xuan which proved the relation between Han Yu’s poems and Wen Xuan. As a commentary edition of Han Yu’s collection, Wang Yuan-qi’s Du Han Ji Yi imitated the form of Zhu Xi’s Kao Yi, carded documents and made necessary corrections. It contained the author’s query and criticism on ancient annotations which manifested referential essences. Although some of these thoughts were biased, they still gave people some enlightenment.The status of Han Yu’s poems enhanced again in Middle Qing Dynasty. The official classics Si Ku Quan Shu and Tang Song Shi Chun represented the literary concept of authority and made a demonstration for people. Tang Song Shi Chun laid equal stress on Li Bai, Du Fu, Han Yu and Su Shi. Si Ku Quan Shu also gave high praise for Han Yu’s poems. Han Yu’s poems even became the evaluation criterion of poems. Shen De-qian appreciated the poetic style in the glorious age of Tang Dynasty. However, he especially brought out the majestic feature of Han Yu’s poems in Tang Shi Bie Cai, which presented his appreciation of Han Yu’s poems. Zhao Yi explored the innovation of Han Yu’s poems from the characters of putting prosaic element into poems as while as the method of using rhyme, joint sentences and the creation of form and syntax. Weng Fang-gang concluded and extracted his "skin texture theory" from the theory and creation of Han Yu’s poems. It was the first explication of Han Yu’s poetic theory from an aesthetic perspective.Huang Yue’s Chang Li Xian Sheng Zeng Zhu Zheng E based on Gu Si-li’s Chang Li Xian Sheng Shi Ji Zhu and devoted to complement the insufficiency of other commented editions. The key point of the book was the approaching on commented editions without adequate arguments. Zheng Zhen read and learnt Han Yu’s poems. His academic works The Posfaco of Han Yu’s Poems and some comments researched on Han Yu’s poems from the test of source material, chronicles, explanation and quotation as well as meaning elaboration and artistic analysis. Li Xiang was an anthology master in the Early Republic of China. His Han Shi Zheng Xuan listed the examples of Wen Xuan’s quotation in Han Yu’s poems to prove the influence of Wen Xuan in Han Yu’s poems. Meanwhile, it also pointed out the mistakes and deficiency of ancient annotations, laying emphasis on finding out the inner relation between Han Yu’s poems and Wen Xuan. The book adopted traditional annotation form. However, it was first issued on Guo Cui Academic Journal. This new publishing form on new Journal made the works spread wider and easier for readers’obtain, which objectively accelerated the popularization of Han Yu’s poems.In the late Qing Dynasty, the status of Han Yu’s poems reached the apex of history. Fang Dong-shu laid equal stress on the poems of Han Yu and Du Fu, which implied that Han Yu’s achievement had exceeded Li Bai. Zeng Guo-fan inherited the poetic theory of Yao Nai in Tongcheng School, regarded Han Yu’s poems as the access to learning Du Fu’s poems and appreciated the magnificent style of Han Yu’s poems. Liu Xi-zai’s Yi Gai contained some excellent discussion on Han Yu’s poems. The most important aesthetical theory of this book was the concept of "Taking Ugliness for Beauty", which was first proposed in the research history of Han Yu’s poems. Zhu Ting-zhen laid equal stress on Han Yu, Li Bai and Du Fu as great masters in literature history. He analyzed and developed Han Yu’s poetic theory, carding the learning process of Han Yu’s poems especially the influence on the poetic style in Qing Dynasty by poets since the Song Dynasty.The Qing Dynasty was the epitomizing period of the research on Han Yu. From the perspective of Han Yu’s poem research, the approach on Han Yu’s poems in Qing Dynasty had gained further in-depth and breakthrough compared with the formers. With the constant deepening of Han Yu’s poem research in Qing Dynasty, the study on Han Yu’s poem documents had inclined to elaboration. Until Qing Dynasty, the special annotated edition of Han Yu’s poems had emerged, which manifested the elaboration and specialization of Han Yu’s research in that time. These annotated editions gained great achievement and made profound influence for their specialized feature. For one thing, the emergence of these documents represented the achievement of Han Yu’s poem research in Qing Dynasty. For another, it provided many referential experiences for further research by later generations.Especially some theoretical issues such as the change and orthodoxy of Han Yu’s poems were all viewed as the emphases of the approach on Han Yu’s poems in Qing Dynasty. In the course of discussing such issues, Han Yu’s poems had become classics gradually and attached top status in literary history.
