| The thesis compiled the all characters of the chu bronze inscriptions on the basis of collecting the related materials. On the basis of previous studies, using the new materials, absorbing the new achievements, we study the chu bronze from the philology angle. This thesis mainly incluedes the following aspects.The introduction, introducing the standards of select materials, the reasoning of selected this topic and the meaning of this study, evaluating the previous studies, proposing the research contents of this thesis.The first chapter is cleaning the chu bronze inscriptions. On the basis of using the new materials,cleaning the piece chu bronze inscriptions about 1012, while improving the incorrect annotation and making the instructions on some complicated forms.The second chapter is the feature of chu bronze inscriptions. We are summary four aspects, which are bird and insect characters, using retro characters, exchanging the pianpang and the relation of shuowen chongwen.The third chapter is the studing pianpang of chu bronze inscriptions. We are selecting 34 pianpang which is the most times. We study the type and evolving of this pianpang, revealling the differences Chu bronze inscriptions.The fourth chapter is the compare between chu bronze inscriptions and chu bamboo characters. We are contrasted the different from the special pianpang and the special characters in order to clear the internal difference of the chu characters.The fifth chapter is the compare between chu bronze inscriptions other bronze inscriptions. We are contrasted the different from the special pianpang and the special characters in order to clear the difference forms of characters.The sixth chapter is the kaoshi of compicated characters.
