Research On The Modernization Of Chinese Traditional Culture From The Perspective Of The Sinicization Of Marxism

Culture is the lifeblood of a nation, and it gives the people a sense of belonging. The Chinese nations have created a long history and a splendid culture. The Chinese traditional culture played a very important role on the Chinese nation’s formation, reproduction, unity, stability and self-reliance in the world. However, when the human society entered into modern times, facing the trend of the whole world modernization, Chinese traditional culture fell behind the West because of sinking into the feudal autocratic mire. The outbreak of the Opium War opened Chinese semi-colonial and semi-feudal process. Since then, the Chinese traditional culture was forced to carry on difficult exploration and painful modernization transition in blood and fire humiliation in modern times. After the fierce collision and blend with the western culture, Chinese traditional culture went through the multi level modernization exploration process of self-help and reconstruction which the included material, institution and concept modernization. Since the modern times, the advanced Chinese people made arduous efforts for Chinese traditional culture modernization, but all efforts ended in failure. While developing socialist culture, the Communist Party of China has explored a new path from the new democratic culture to the development of socialist culture with Chinese characteristics, and as a result, the modern transformation of Chinese traditional culture has been greatly promoted. The Marxism as a new cultural value orientation, embodied in the process of the Communist Party of China’s leading the new democratic revolution and the socialist revolution and practice, and the modernization of Chinese traditional culture push ahead step by step. In the process of leading the new democratic culture and the socialist culture, promoting the modern transformation of Chinese traditional culture, the Communist Party of China has accumulated rich experiences, which has become valuable wealth for China’s culture development and would surely give us profound enlightenment. To summarize these experiences seriously is very important for continuing to promote Sinicization of Marxism and Chinese traditional culture modernization, and constructing socialist advanced culture with Chinese characteristics.Modernization is a comprehensive change process including economic, political, cultural modernization in which cultural modernization is the most complex and difficult one. Chinese culture history of more than100years shows that cultural modernization is a deep problem in China’s modernization. The relationship between Marxism and Chinese traditional culture modernization is an important problem in Chinese modernization process. The essence of this problem is what China’s modernization construction guiding ideology is. The special nature of Chinese society, the inherent requirement of Chinese cultural modernization, and the historical practice of Chinese society dicided that Marxism would certainly occupy the core position in Chinese cultural modernization construction.The history proved that every development and leap of Sinicization of Marxism all focused on Chinese cultural modernization, guided China opened up revolution and modernization’s path with Chinese characteristics, and promoted China’s traditional culture modernization process.
