[Abstract] The essay studies the Uzemchin banquet songs systematically on the basis of plentful Uzemchin historical data, my own field investigations and materials of oral interview. The essay penetrates into the banquet songs and its context, the oral version and its cultural performance, the relevant local knowledge system, banquet ceremony and the structure, form and transmission mechanism of banquet songs.The purpose of selecting the topic, the scope of topic, the source of material, research method and early research results are introduced in the introduction part.In the first chapter, the writer states the relation between Uzemchin banquet songs and its macro context. In this chapter, the writer analyses the language relation between banquet songs and local natural environment, life style, social system and structure, belief and folk customs, thinks that banquet songs and its forms are closely related with its relevant context from connotations like its creation, art characteristics to singing procedure, structure, relevant customs and symbol meaning, etc. And the author also believes that macro context and banquet customs are the internal power that form the abandant resources of Mongolian folk songs and its relevant culture.The second chapter is about the relation between banquet songs and micro context. There are six cases of field investigations done in east and west Uzemchin in this chapter, including wedding ceremonies, elder’s birthday celebrations, sacrificial ceremonies and banquets. The writer analyses the formation processes and cultural meaning of banquet songs’oral context in macro context and describes them in depth.In the third chapter, the writer probes into "the local knowledge system" on Uzemchin banquet song in the light of interview data and local historical materials through the culture holders, analyses the local memory, understanding perspective and etiquette customs of banquet songs, and believes that local knowledge is the basic solution to cultural explanation.The fourth chapter studies the banquet customs, the system of banquet songs and the structural mode, cultural performance and inter-textual rules of oral context according to the theory of "oral version","cultural performance" and "structuralism".In conclusion, including Uzemchin banquet songs, Mongolian banquet song is a kind of oral art that is formed under the Mongolian special social and historical condition. It is a cultural form that has a complete knowledge system, meaning system and the mode of performance. We should study its creating mechanism and inheriting rules, protect its original culture ecology, explore its new continuation patterns, and ensure the diverse existence of intangible cultural heritage of humanity.
