The Research Of Gaoshi’s Poems Of Banquet And Friends

Gao Shi was a famous poet in the Tang period, his poems of Banquet and Friends play important roles in all his poems.The number of these poems are about three-quarter of his total existing poems,and the style of the most GaoShi’s poetry is sad.At the same time, GaoShi wrote about his situations and friendships in detail in many of his poems. Through these poems, we can exactly and intuitively see GaoShi’s life conditions.Therefore,studyingGaoShi’s poetry can not only help us comprehensively master the characteristics of Poetry, but also do benefits for the research about Gao Shi.This paper is separated for three parts:the creation of GaoShi’s poetry, its overall characteristics and classifications, and it will combine with some individual problems of the research, in order to clear up a full summary of GaoShi’s poetry.Gao Shi created his poems of Banquet and Friends thoughout his life, and his poems according to his life experiences could be divided into five parts:studying hard in Sonzhong, asking for a promotion outside the country, fishing and wondering, succeeding in careera and getting into the imperial court.His creation of poems also varied in different periods. At the end of Kaiyuan and in the beginning of Tianbao, Gao Shi changed his attitudes and life styles, his creation of poems reached the top of his level.According to the subjects and contents, his poems could be divided into three categories, farewell, giving presents and banquet. His poems were mainly showing the sad part of his life such as grief, indignation and loneliness and so on.
