In this dissertation,we try to add the household register、pupilage、 examination subject、family structure, age and family background as indexes to the character of distribution of Jinshi during the Ming dynasty in order to more carefully describe the difference of distribution of Jinshi.In this way, we think that the conclusion would be more disciplined and focussed.We have use18000resumes of Jinshi during the Ming dynasty on the basis of56kinds of Hui-shi-lu and57kinds of Jinshi Deng-ke-Iu.Moreover, because the changes of system of eduction and Imperial examination system during the Ming dynasty had produced an important effect on the number of candidates to be enrolled,which includes the quotas of provincail examination and metropolitan examination, and chosing of the classical curriculum.We try to use "family background" as indexes to the character of status of Jinshi in describing the relationship between Jinshi and the social status of his father and grandfather.The dissertation is appendixed.We put the data and statistics right at the end,which are important testimony to some conclusions in the text, and the other is the colection of memoirs of Jin-Shi during the Ming Dynasty, which is the result of the study by this dissertation on this phase.
