| The purpose of this dissertation is to reconstruct the evolution of all southern regimes’ territories and administrative districts during the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period(五代å国).Since related historical materials are short and confusing, and Spring and Autumn Annals of Ten Kingdoms:Writings on the Geography of Ten Kingdoms (Shiguo Chunqiu, Shiguo Dili Biao《å国春秋·å国地ç†è¡¨ã€‹)shows the evolution of southern regimes’administrative districts only in a static way, the author of the present work makes an attempt to choose several cross sections of the period so as to describe the whole evolution process in a dynamic way. Researches of various writing records and inscriptions provide evidences for this reconstruction work, showing these southern administrative districts’establishments, abolishments, renamings, transferences and administrations with one-year accuracy. Meanwhile this work corrects also flaws appeared in various historical geography writings-including official history books, general geography books and local geography books. |
