From the Guodian Chu Slips has been unearthed in Hubei (湖北) Province in October1993, has nearly two decades, the archaeology, philology, and textualism, the study of philology, history, folklore, anthropology, culturology, sociology, philosophy and so on various knowledge discipline under the positive efforts of scholars, the study of this batch of bamboo slips on various aspects have made a lot of achievements. This article aims to this batch of bamboo slips, for example, comprehensive, system to explore this batch of bamboo slips terms conditions, in order to discuss terms used in the warring states period unearthed in the people’s literature rules and habits of words people at that time.This article is divided into six parts:The first part:Introduction. In This part, we Introduced the Guodian Chu Slips, and combined with research results of the variant form of a Chinese character on The literature handed down from ancient times, we discussed the specific meaning of variant form of a Chinese character on tExcavated documents,then we simply introduced the the variant form of a Chinese character of the Guodian Chu Slips.The second part:the study on the variant form of a Chinese character of the Guodian Chu Slips because of personal factors.The third part:the study on the variant form of a Chinese character by comparing the other Chu wenzi.The fourth part:the study on the variant form of a Chinese character by comparing the typical Chu wenzi and the atypical Chu wenzi in the the Guodian Chu Slips.The fifth part:the study on the variant form of a Chinese character in the Guodian Chu Slips under the historical condition The sixth part:Summary and theory, division and merger of the variant form of a Chinese character.
