Records of diplomatic events and dialogue are two forms of documents in foreign affairs and they not only play important roles in Chinese policy and diploma, but also being resource of Chinese literature. The creation of the records and dialogue mainly appeared in Song dynasty. There are three main types of the records:prose, verse and image-text. Verses often narrates trips and write the experiences down---describing the journey and the events or just narrating which adopts relating words as the main form. Diplomatic poetry characterizes the journey records in verse. The picture-texts describe diplomatic process with pictures and words, reaching the aim about pictures and words of double records.Diplomatic dialogue is the official genre in Song dynasty, which results in political promotion. It comes from despotic tradition of the culture in Han dynasty, which can be said the transform words of specific activity in diplomacy. Its genre originates from diplomatic words in Northern and Southern Dynasties, the recording genre which specifically records the dialogue between two diplomatic sides. The types of diplomatic dialogue are quotations from ambassador, from sending friends, farewell and consideration. Quotations from ambassadors and sending friends exit universally in different times, but farewell and consideration are the types of diplomatic dialogue in special times.Records of journeys and dialogues are also conceived in official affairs, which doom their inherent blood relationship. Comparing genres of that two, we can find features of dialogue in journey records and features of the latter are also found in dialogues. However, they are two different kinds of genre after all in essence. Diplomatic records mainly describe experiences including landscape, culture, custom, geography, resources; diplomatic dialogues mainly describe questions and answers, which express talking, regarding and consulting. Consequently they undertake their own narrative roles, which equals " zuoshi keeping records and youshi keeping words in pre-Qin dynasty " and which is the division of work of keeping records and words in song dynasty. After Song dynasty, the creative range of diplomatic events records expands. It is not only used in Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasty, but also become popular in foreign countries. Either the diplomatic journey records in Yuan, Ming,Qing dynasty or diplomatic dialogues in foreign countries, the number of them are more than one hundred, which brings interactions on records of diplomatic journey between China and abroad. By comparing, we can find that journey records from Northern Korea, to some extent, have Chinese origins. That is to say, the great achievement reached by northern Korea results in the broadcast of Chinese diplomatic events and dialogues. Therefore, only comparing with records of diplomatic events and dialogue can we establish comprehensive view of records from northern Korea.
