Objective:To summarize the experience of the management of intracranial aneurysms in neurovascular hybrid operating room, to explore different operation procedures of intracranial aneurysms in this setting and to analyze clinical and radiological outcome, the rate of complications and aneurysmal recurring rate. Methods:In the neurovascular hybrid operating room of New Era Stroke Care & Research Center, the Second Artillery General Hospital PLA, from October 2013 to November 2015, 99 cases of intracranial aneurysms were managed by way of interventional treatment, open surgery, hybrid surgery or switched surgical procedures. Post-operation follow ups were digital subtraction angiography at 1-3 months and 9 months after the operation for each patient, and after that regular follow ups were done every year by way of outpatient visit or telephone call visit. Clinical and imaging information of all patients were collected at regular time points. Clinical outcome and procedure complications were evaluated. Results:Among the 99 patients, 4 patient died, 89 were neurologically improved, 4 were stable, 1 got worse and 1 lost to follow-up. Among the 94 cases within 3-675 days follow-up, 4 patients had aneurysm recurrence and 2 received retreatment. At the last follow-up, complete occlusion was observed in 90 aneurysms. Conclusions:In the neurovascular hybrid operating room, it is possible to deliver individualized surgical and/or interventional treatment for intracranial aneurysms, which is potentially a safe and effective management option.
