Objective:We reviewed the data of24cases with retroperitoneal fibrosis (RF). The purpose was to understand the feature of the disease in order to improve its diagnosis and surgical treatment.Methods:The clinical data of24cases discharged from our hospital were analyzed retrospectively.Results:Back pain and abdominal pain were most commonly onset symptoms.22patients were treated with surgery,1patient treated with surgery combined with eorticosteroid.1patient treated with cortieosteroidother.23patients responded well to managements,1patient suffered Intestinalfistula after operation. Conclusion:Imaging examinations remain currently the primary modality for diagnosis with specific findings. If the patient sufferes bilateral hydronephrosis without obvious causes, retroperitoneal fibrosis should be considered. Surgery is effective to cure retroperitoneal fibrosis.Ureteralstenting can relieve ureteral obstruction and is available for those who want advanced diagnosis and treatment.
