The Effects On Wenjing Decoction Combined With Acupuncture In Women With Primary Dysmenorrhea Of Congealing Cold And Blood Stagnation: A Clinical Research

Most of women in their menstrual cycle or menstrual occurred abdominal pain or lumbosacral pain, and even pain to syncope, known as dysmenorrheal. The disease is more common in young women. Western medicine is divided it into two categories:primary and secondary dysmenorrheal, which no organic genital lesions known as primary dysmenorrhoea (PD) or functional dysmenorrheal, often occurs soon after the menarche of unpregnancy or unmarried young women, and it often disappears in their own marriage or after delivery. The clinical manifestations of primary dysmenorrheal, is abdominal pain in menstrual or before and after passing through, with the onset of the menstrual cycle. Pain may be radiation to the oblique rib, breast, lumbosacral, inner thigh, vaginal or anal etc place. The pain cramps usually a few hours before Menstrual, as the harbinger of menstrual. Severe pain, may come with blue face, cold extremities, vomiting, sweating, whole body weakness or even syncope.In recent years, the age of primary dysmenorrheal is rising and its decline as the rising incidence of anti-trend, it has serious impact on quality of life and work of women. Traditional Chinese medicine has a long history of dysmenorrheal, it is pathogenesis, dialectical theory of governance have a complete system, in which acupuncture is an effective treatment of primary dysmenorrheal.Objective:To observe the effect of Wenjing decoction and acupuncture method on primary dysmenorrheal of the type of cold coagulation and blood stasis. On the view of clinical science, the research explored the effective therapeutic way and one kind of curative effect to be good, for clinical provides the experience and the foundation.Method:Elect 60 patients suffering from primary dysmenorrheal disease caused by blood stasis due to cold and analysis its reason. They were divided into treatment group (n=30) and control group (n=30) with random method. The patients in treatment group were given Wenjing decoction and acupuncture. In the control group, the patients were given Menstrual Health. Before and three menstrual cycles after the treatment, the scores and duration of abdominal pain, the scores of other symptoms and signs were recorded.Treatment group:Wenjing decoction and acupunctureFructus Euodiae 6g, Radix Angelieae Sinensis 10g, Baishao, Radix Paeoniae Alba 10g, Rhizoma Chanxiong 6g, Radix Codonopsis Pilosulae 10g, Ramulus Cinnamomi 10g, Cortex Moutan 10g, Rhizoma Zingiberis Recens 6g, Radix Glycyrrizae Praceparata 5g, Rhizoma Pinelliae Praeparata lOgRadix Ophiopogonis 10gResults:The total effective rates of primary dysmenorrheal disease in treatment group and control group were96.7%and 60%respectively with obvious difference between them (P<0.05). After the treatment, the score of the treatment group is higher than control group (P<0.01) which indicates Wenjing decoction and acupuncture treatment is more effective than Menstrual Health.Conclusion:Wenjing decoction and acupuncture have definite therapeutic effect on this disease especially for the improvement of blood rheology. It deserves to be spread and studied in the clinic.
