Objective In this context of Population Aging,By arranging the documents on TCM food Regimen for the Elderly, and summarizing the regimen experience of ancient and modern longevity celebrity, the project researches how to implement the regimen four elderly under the theory of TCM, and Provide documents basis for the control of disease in the Elderly about the Dietary Therapy of TCM, and theoretical basis for building "The Dietary Therapy system for Elderly of China".Methods With the literature research methods, according to the "Yellow Emperor’s Internal Classic" and the theory of Modern Medicine, the project discusses the concepts of the Elderly and people’s life expectancy. Tracing the origination of the Dietary Therapy for Elderly of TCM, sorting out the ancient medical practitioners and books, it discusses the application of the "Abidance by Triple Pathogens","Theory on Constitution of the TCM" in the Dietary Therapy for Elderly. Combining with the "Medicinal and Edible" theory of TCM, It discusses the nature and flavor, efficacy, modern pharmacological effects of ingredients and related therapeutic side of which could lengthen the life. By listing systematically ancient and modem literature on the Porridge treatment, the paper discusses the importance of the Dietary Therapy of TCM in the elderly. According to TCM, summed up the dietary experience of ancient and modern celebrity longevity. According to physiological and pathological characteristics of the Elderly, and related to TCM theory, It shows the using of the Dietary Therapy of TCM in prevention and cure the geriatrics,such as the Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension. It summarized the principles of the Dietary Therapy for the Elderly. Following to the current Policies of "Healthy Aging","Active Aging", The study is to propose a argument of "Fresh Pension Aging", and to build "The Dietary Therapy system for Elderly of China"Results In the context of aging, the Dietary Therapy under the guidance of TCM theory is good for the Elderly; There are a lot of documents about dietary literature for the Elderly, but more scattered, it is worth collecting and systematizing those research. Those ingredients that extending Life are beneficial to slow down aging. Porridge treatment is one of those good methods.The experience of our ancestors should be well studied. The Dietary Therapy for Elderly theory is based on "Abidance by Triple Pathogens","Theory on Constitution of the TCM" and "Medicinal and Edible" and so on. The Dietary Therapy of TCM plays an important role in the prevention and treatment of geriatric diseases.Conclusions (1) Recount the brief history of Chinese Dietary Therapy Elderly;①The Qin Dynasty is the Infancy of TCM Dietary Elderly;②The Qin, Han and Tang period is the formative stages;③Song,Jin and Yuan Dynasties is the developing stage;④Ming and Qing Dynasties is the Ripe stage;⑤Moderntimes, it gets further development.(2) Abidance by triple pathogens is an important theoretical guidance, the Elderly should consider" Food on Proper Occasions","Local conditions",In "The Differ from Person to Person". The Elderly should take account of their different physical, it means "Comprehensive Weighting, Discriminative food."(3)Life Extension ingredients played a positive role in Elderly dietary, and both of their nature and flavor, efficacy is worthy of further consolidation studying.(4) Compliance with the elderly physiological and pathological characteristics of the spleen and stomach, Porridge Treatment plays an important role in raising the elderly.(5)Summarizing the ancient longevity dietary experience, the project shows the ingredients which prolong human life are basis on "Correspondence between man and nature","Disease Prevention Theory","Harmony five tastes ","the Dietary Therapy first","Dialectic meal","Being Moderate in Eating and Drinking ".(6) On the basis of physiological and pathological characteristics of the elderly, the theory of TCM, ancient physicians, longevity’s dietary point of view, it summed up the eight principles:①Having more meals a day but less food at each;②Food should be soft, fine, and chewed slowly;③Reasonable meals, harmony five tastes;④Stomach first, Acquired complement innate;⑤Dialectic meal, soup kitchens Distinctions;⑥Abidance by Triple Pathogens,Correspondence between man and nature;⑦Preventing measure taken before the occurrence of disease, Preventing measure taken after the occurrence of disease;⑧Postprandial appropriate activities does good to digestion.(7) In the context of Population Aging, Following the"Healthy Aging" and "Active Aging" policy,as the basis of respecting culture-based, with the guidance of TCM, the project proposed a concept that refers to"Dietary Therapy for Population Aging",and proposed to build "China respecting dietary theoretical system",according to Chinese tradition of respecting and TCM dietary.
