The Daoyin methods have some advantages and disadvantages as any other treatment methods though. Daoyin is effective in dealing with the wind syndrome, deficiency syndrome, viscera, lumbar back pain, and Qi diseases. In particular, Daoyin is effective in relieving cold and wind, regulating zang-fu organs, relaxing the muscles priorities, and reducing pain. However, Daoyin methods have limitation in surgery, gynecology, pediatrics, such as ulcers syndrome, pregnancy disease syndrome, and pediatric disease syndrome. On the basis of disease and syndrome classification, this research named each Daoyin method and summarized the function with reference to the herbs and the acupoints, which can be used easily in clinical settings. The study laid a foundation for the clinical application of Daoyin. The widely application of the results has highlighted the value of this research. With the increasing of chronic disease and the awareness of the side effects of pharmaceutical drugs, more and more people prefer to use nondrug therapies over drugs. As an effective nondrug therapy, Daoyin is playing an important role in the medical and healthcare field and may develop as a feature of TCM in its internationalization process after Acupuncture. More important, it may serve as a venue for the popularizing of Traditional Chinese Culture.
